Hey sisters and brothers!

a salam aleikum!
My name is Tegan, and I am taking my Shahada this weekend to be part of the beautiful Muslim faith.
At the moment I go to a girls group in Auburn, Sydney right next to the Gallipolli Mosque where i'm learning about Islam with some other sisters. But I'm soon leaving Sydney to go to University in Lismore, so I thought I would try to find some people from the Byron Bay/Gold Coast/Brisbane area who can help me out with Mosque's and Groups and stuff.
My background is Hungarian, Bulgarian, Turkish, Potawotami Indian, and French (I'm like a pizza!). :woohoo:
And I speak a bit of Farsi, and a bit of Spanish. (I need help with Arabic, too!)
Umm... I'm 19 years old, and i'm going to study clinical science. (I'm going to Southern Cross University - starting July - so if there is anybody else who goes there...)

Inshallah next weekend it has been organized for me to take my shahada at the Auburn Mosque, and I know this week will go so slowly because I'm looking forward to it so much!!

Also, I have a question, but I wasn't sure where to ask it!
I work in a law office in the city, (but i'm only here another month), and I need to ask my boss for a room to pray in.
Inshallah he will understand, I think he is a christian and it might seem strange to him. He's a bit intimidating, too. Has anyone ever had to ask their boss for prayer space? Does anyone have any advice?

I've asked Christian bosses before and they were very good and understanding.
As long as you only need a small space I'd imagine they'd be happy to help you out.

update!

i just asked my boss if i could wear hijab, and use the conference room to pray in and he said "Yeah, i have no problem with that"!!!!!!
I'm so happy.
It's so true, when Allah closes a door to us, he opens up a windows.
Last night I told one of my brothers that I am a muslim, and he hung the phone up on me. But then this wonderful thing happened today!
