Just buy one of those 100 dollar phones.

That's the worst investment you can make. It won't last you 6 months and you'll have to go spend another $100 on another stupid phone. 2 yrs down the track, you've spent money on 4 phones where you could've spent it on one phone to last your a number of years.

What? I totally disagree, i bought the sony ericsson T303 and have dropped it a few times, left it in the car on a really hot day uncovered, and crushed it against my thigh and the car door and theres no problem with it.
Expensive phones are a waste of money, all the extra features attract buyers, but when you really think about it logically, spending a hundred on a decently sturdy phone is the better choice. Because its making and recieving calls that matters, I've learned alot of spending lessons in the past couple of years, and phone's are the worste.
Thats my point of view, each to his own.

Another thing i hate about expensive phones, is how people take them out and parade it around like its some kind of trophy, thinking their some king kong cos they have a shiny phone, Paaaalleeeeezzzzeeee, its so lame.
Which is why i bought a cheap phone even though i could buy an expensive one, because i dont wana be mistaken for those dunya freaks who think their phone is some kind of extra organ of their body or an extra limb.
I'm not saying all people with expensive phones are like this, but its too common to not notice.

No one's saying you have to spend hundreds and hundreds on a phone. I bought a phone a number of yrs back for $100 and it was the worst thing I bought.. hence why I'd never buy one so cheap again. I wouldn't advocate paying $600 on a phone. The most I'd pay is $250.. and that for me would be pushing it.

Fair enough 250 is a moderate price. Even 300 region depending on battery life, but anything over 400 without the GPS or sat Nav is a naive purchase.

I am using that, now and I wont recommend it!
It has bad battery life, poor antenna reception and speaker does not work. The latest firmware upgrade fixes some of the problems but not all.
I would suggest Samsung. The best phone I have ever used.
If you have the money buy the new Sansung Omnia. It miles better than iphone.

Its pretty small and its got everything you need, like voice recording, note pad, 5 alarms, good radio, and its a strong phone.
This phone set me back 100 at Dicksmith.
I recommend it to any one if they can still find it, when i bought it stocks were low.
