is there any hadith which tells us whether we know that our duaa has been acceped or not?

i don't know if there's a hadith or not but i know that in general when you are making duaa then one of 3 things happened (not also sure if this is for any doaa or only for the accepted one):

1. the doaa is answered straight away.
2. the doaa is delayed and answered later on your life.
3. the doaa is delayed till the day of judgement and it's answered at that time there.

what happens if the duaa is for soemthing urgent, is there any other way than istikhara to pray?

sorry brother but you do realise who are you making the doaa?? you are asking something from ALLAH and not a human and it's Allah who decide if he want to answer your prayer or not and when should he answer it.

for istekhara it's a completely different story, because YOU ARE NOT asking something specific from Allah but YOU ARE asking his guidance to show you if what you are doing is good for you or not and if it's good then make work and if it's bad then let it go away and help you accept leaving it.
