Al Salam Alekom we Rahmat Allah we Barakatoh

If you were using a knife and suddenly you cut your hands, what will you do?? Would you fight the knife or you would get angry at yourself for using it the wrong way.

Too often when it comes to people, we go and fight them for what happen and we don’t think for a second that they are just like that knife, they didn’t mean to hurt us but we got them to do so because we treated them in the wrong way as much as we used the knife in the wrong way.

We seems to forget that people are just methods that Allah have used to test us in our life. Didn’t Allah says what it means:

}وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَوَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا{

{And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.} Al-Forqan [20]

Allah is telling us that he have appointed some of us to be a test for others and then he ask “are you going to be patient and steadfast??”

so what should we reply?? Should we say yes or not??

So often that we forget that nothing can happen to us without the will of Allah, it doesn’t mean that he’s harming us but it means that he knew that someone will harm us and he let him/her do it to see how will we react?? Will we remember our purpose in life (worshipping Allah) and try to apply whatever he asks us to do??

OR

Will we be busy with our dunya and forget our creator??

Before you reply, I would like to remind you with verse which have the meaning: “Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope” Al-Baqarah [286]

Allah knows very well what we are capable of doing therefore whatever he asks us to do, we shouldn’t have a problem with it because he doesn’t ask us for anything which is more than what we are capable of doing.

Then what’s the solution??

}مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَالأَعْرَابِ أَن يَتَخَلَّفُواْ عَن رَّسُولِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَرْغَبُواْبِأَنفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلاَنَصَبٌ وَلاَ مَخْمَصَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَلاَ يَطَؤُونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُالْكُفَّارَ وَلاَ يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلاً إِلاَّ كُتِبَ لَهُم بِهِعَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ{

{It is not for the townsfolk of Al-Madinah and for those around them of the wandering Arabs so stay behind the messenger of Allah and prefer their lives to his life. That is because neither thirst nor toil nor hunger afflicteth them in the way of Allah, nor step they any step that angereth the disbelievers, nor gain they from the enemy a gain, but a good deed is recorded for them therefor. Lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good.} Al Tawbah [120]

the solution is obey Allah and his prophet no matter what, knowing that with each time we are thirsty, tired, hungry or whatever we are feeling then we will always be rewarded for it.

The solution is by communicating with Allah and not the people knowing that it’s Allah loves that create the people’s love and not other way around.

I know that my words are not really clear but in sha’llah if you read the verses and try to think about their meaning then in sha’allah you will get what I want to say.

ok here's another way of saying it which i have mentioned in the thread about sisterhood/brotherhood

loving for the sake of Allah,

it's really beautifull word isn't it?? but how can we make sure that we are loving each other for the sake of Allah??

we can do this by making our relation with Allah and not with the poeple.

when you love someone so much, you care about everything they do and anyone who's from thier side. if someone hurt you and you got upset then later on you found that this person is related to the one you love, what will you do?? straight away you will forgive him just for the sake of the one you love (this is in a true pure love)

the same thing goes with Allah (wa lelah Al Mathal Al 'Ala). if you love Allah so much then you will love everything related to Allah no matter what it does to you. if someone have hurt you, you will forgive them just for the sake of Allah because they are just one of things that Allah have created.

the only different between the two situations is in the first one, your loved person didn't know about who's going to hurt you or why.

BUT

in the second one Allah knows that someone is going to hurt you and he left him (by Allah's will) so he will see how much you really love him (Allah) and how will you react just for his sake. and if you will stay steadfast knowing that he's watching everything.

{وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا}

{And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.} Al-Forqan [20]

also Allah didn't leave us like this but he's telling us that our reaction and whatever happened to us will not just pass like this if we keep ourself following the right path.

{It is not for the townsfolk of Al-Madinah and for those around them of the wandering Arabs so stay behind the messenger of Allah and prefer their lives to his life. Allah says what it means:

It is not for the townsfolk of Al-Madinah and for those around them of the wandering Arabs so stay behind the messenger of Allah and prefer their lives to his life

why??

That is because:

1. neither thirst
...... if you become really thirsty for the sake of Allah

2. nor toil
...... if you become really tired for the sake of Allah

3. nor hunger afflicteth them in the way of Allah,
...... if you become really hungry fro the sake of Allah

4. nor step they any step that angereth the disbelievers,
...... if you do an action which put in high position with Allah and annoy the enemy of Allah

5. nor gain they from the enemy a gain
...... if you gain something from the enemy of Allah

what will happen if you went through one of these things and other more??
but a good deed is recorded for them therefor.

you will gain a good deed for each single thing you went through, so your thirst, tiredness, hunger, pain and ....... will become good deeds. all of this just because you kept your relationship for the sake of Allah.

and then what does Allah says in the end??
Lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good.

he's assuring you that whatever it is, it will not just go and you will be rewarded for it.
