But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air).

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said :
The messenger of Allah ( صلى الله عليه و سلم)said :
"Part of someone's being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not concern him."

Got this reminder in an email...
And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allâh as rivals (to Allâh). They love them as they love Allâh. But those who believe, love Allâh more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allâh and that Allâh is Severe in punishment.
(Quran 2:165)
“When a person spends his entire day with no other concern but Allaah alone, Allaah, may He be glorified, will take care of all his needs and take care of all that is worrying him; He will empty his heart so that it will be filled only with love for Him, free his tongue so that it will speak only in remembrance of Him (dhikr) and cause all his faculties to work only in obedience to Him. But if a person spends his entire day with no other concern but this world, Allaah will make him bear its distress, anxiety and pain; He will leave him to sort himself out, and cause his heart to be distracted from the love of Allaah towards the love of some created being, cause his tongue to speak only in remembering people instead of remembering Allaah, and cause him to use his talents and energy in obeying and serving them. So he will strive hard, labouring like some work-animal, to serve something other than Allaah… Everyone who turns away from being a true slave of Allaah and obeying Him and loving Him will be burdened with servitude, love and obedience to some created being. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allaah), We appoint for him a shaytaan (devil) to be a qareen (intimate companion) to him.’ [al-Zukhruf 43:36].”
Ibn al-Qayyim
Al-Fawaa’id, p. 159The one who is (truly) imprisoned is the one whose heart is imprisoned from Allah and the captivated one is the one whose desires have enslaved him. Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullah)

Ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Prophet said:
“Indeed, Allah is more happy with the repentance of His slave than a man who stops in a barren, desolate land; with him he has his riding animal. He then goes to sleep. When he wakes up, [he realizes that] his mount is gone. He searches for it until he is on the verge of dying. He then says, ‘I will return to the place wherein I lost it, and I will die there.’ He went to that place, and he was then overcome by sleep. When he woke up, his mount was [standing] right beside his head: on it was his food, his drink, his provisions, and the things he neded. Allah is more happy with the repentance of his believing slave than the aforementioned man when he finds his mount and his provisions.”

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: Allah the Majestic and Exalted said:
"Every deed of man will receive ten to 700 times reward, except Siyam (fasting), for it is for Me and I shall reward it (as I like). There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: one when he breaks the fast and the other when he will meet his Lord"
(Muslim). How canst thou say to thy brother,Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said he heard the messenger of Allah ( peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) declaring that Allah who is Glorious and Exalted said: When I afflict my servant in his two dear things, ie,(his eyes) and he endures it patiently I shall compensate him for them with paradise.

143. And when Musa (Moses) came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord (Allah) spoke to him; he said: ''O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You.'' Allah said: ''You cannot see Me, but look upon the mountain, if it stands still in its place then you shall see Me.'' So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it collapse to dust, and Musa (Moses) fell down unconscious. Then when he recovered his senses he said ''Glorified are You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers.''
Surah 7. Al-A'raf.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Do not speak much without mentioning Allah, for too much speech without mentioning Allah hardens the heart, and the hard hearted are the furthest of all people from Allah Most High." [Tirmidhi]
"...The eyes are filled with tears and the heart is full of grief but we do not say anything except that which is pleasing to our lord.."

Assalamu Alaikum
I was wondering if anyone can help me find the Hadith when a father approached the Prophet and was complaining about his son who eats too much honey to tell him to stop eating it. However the Prophet doesn't because he had honey himself. It signifies his level of honesty. I wonder if anyone has the full Hadith.

And when Saul set out with his forces, he said: "Behold, God will now try you by a river: he who shall drink of it will not belong to me, whereas he who shall refrain from tasting it - he, indeed, will belong to me; but forgiven shall be he who shall scoop up but a single handful." However, save for a few of them, they all drank [their fill] of it. And as soon as he and those who had kept faith with him had crossed the river, the others said: "No strength have we today [to stand up] against Goliath and his forces!" [Yet] those who knew with certainty that they were destined to meet God, replied: "How often has a small host overcome a great host by God's leave! For God is with those who are patient in adversity." 2:249

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

how Merciful Allah subhana wa ta'ala is...
32. And (remember) when they [disbelievers] said: ''O Allah! If this (the Qur'an) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment.''
33. And Allah would not punish them while you (Muhammad
) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allah's) forgiveness.

Abű Bakr Al-Siddîq (RA) said: I will not leave anything Allâh’s Messenger (PBUH) did, except that I will also do it, for I fear that if I were to leave any of his commands and ways I would deviate. [Al-Bukhârî]
After recording this narration, Ibn Battah states: This, my brothers is the greatest Siddîq (true believer Abű Bakr), fearing that he would fall into deviation if he were to leave any of the commandments of his Prophet (PBUH).What then is to happen in a time in which people deride their Prophet and his commandments and compete with each other and show off in contradicting him and mock his Sunnah?"...The eyes are filled with tears and the heart is full of grief but we do not say anything except that which is pleasing to our lord.."

Ukhtee,
I heard of something similar, and only from Turks (maybe from Tabligh Jamaa`at as well?).
However, one of them had `Umar ibn Khattab as the one whose advice was sought after, and in the other one, it was Imaam Abu Hanifah Rahimahu'L-Laah whose help was beseeched.
Just so you know not to get your hopes up, I have made a few searches on Google with key Turkish words, only to come up with nothing thus far. Not even in English
If I come across it, I will let you know inshaaAllaah.
In the meantime, could anyone that has a copy of 'Fazail e Amal' that reads it thoroughly, or knows someone that does... could they perchance ask them also for any help? I am almost certain that the narration exists in there somewhere, w'Allaahu A`lam.
This says a lot for the narration's authenticity, but at least we can make better headway with something to go along with inshaaAllaah.
Something is better than nothing perhaps?

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said
"Ramadan has come to you. (It is) a month of blessing, in which Allah covers you with blessing, for He sends down Mercy, decreases sins and answers prayers. In it, Allah looks at your competition (in good deeds), and boasts about you to His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves, for the unfortunate one is he who is deprived in (this month) of the mercy of Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted."
