    Think this needs a bumping.

The only way to stop the arguing on this forum would be to close the forum down these last days of Ramadan.

But I realise that would be like putting a bullet to some people's head, so ignore the above.

It's really up to the individual. There's only so much the admins/mods can do. If everyones going to stick to their own opinion and make a fuss about things there's gonna be kaos.

MashaAllah. I think many people can see from their own experiences how quarreling weakens your emaan. I am not asking those people to give us examples. But each of us can look back to a time when we have had a heated debate with someone and how it affected us.

The more time we spend in quarrelsome arguing the more danger we put ourselves in.

thought this a nice addition , so true subhanALLAH...

In an attempt to guide others to the Qur’an and Sunnah (prophetic way), we often do the exact opposite. Instead of following the Prophetic model of calling to Allah, we follow the subtle arrogance in our hearts in guise of calling others to piety. We ridicule, belittle and insult another with the noble aim of giving advice so that the person can truly be on the right path – our path – of an obviously more righteous lifestyle.
“I have never debated with a knowledgeable person but beaten him, and I have never debated with an ignorant person but been beaten by him.”
    - Imam al-Shafi`i (May Allah have mercy on him)

Selam aleikum. What about if you are resisting njustice by arguing in the court room where if the truth is on your side and the other party are lying and trying to have you convicted while you are inocent? Should you argue viciously in that case?
