How canst thou say to thy brother,Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

    Narrated byAbu Huraira

The Prophet said, "Whoever believes in Allah and His Apostle, offers prayers perfectly and fasts (the month of) Ramadan then it is incumbent upon Allah to admit him into Paradise, whether he emigrates for Allah`s cause or stays in the land where he was born." They (the companions of the Prophet) said, "O Allah`s Apostle! Should we not inform the people of that?"

He said, "There are one-hundred degrees in Paradise which Allah has prepared for those who carry on Jihad in His Cause. The distance between every two degrees is like the distance between the sky and the Earth, so if you ask Allah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaus, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of the Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise."

    Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.519

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

"Whoever amongst you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith".

    Al-Qaadee ’Iyaadh (d.595H) - rahimahullaah - relates:

"Mus‘ab Ibn ‘Abdullaah said: When Imaam Maalik (d.179H) would mention the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), his colour would change and he would have to lean down, and those in his gathering would feel disturbed. So one day he was being asked about this and he said:

If you had seen what I have seen, you would not have rejected what you had seen. I have seen Muhammad Ibnul-Munkadir (d.130H) - and he was the leader of the reciters - that he would never be asked about a hadeeth, except that he would weep, until we had mercy upon him. And I have seen Ja‘far Ibn Muhammad (d.148H) who used to smile a lot. Yet whenever the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was mentioned to him, he would turn pale. I have never seen him relating the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), except in a state of purification. And when times deteriorated, I never saw him except in one of three conditions: either praying, observing silence, or reciting the Qur’aan. He never uttered a word having no significance, and he was one of the scholars and worshippers who had great fear of Allaah. Whenever ‘Abdur-Rahmaan Ibnul-Qaasim (d.126H) mentioned the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), he turned pale as if the blood had been drained from his face, and his tongue dried up due to reverence of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). I went to ‘Aamir Ibn ‘Abdullaah Ibnuz-Zubayr (d.123H), and when ever the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was mentioned to him, he would weep so much, until he was unable to weep any longer. I saw az-Zuhree (d. 124H) - and he was from the kindest people, and closest to them - that when the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was mentioned to him, he would not be able to recognize you, nor would you be able to recognize him. I came to Safwaan Ibn Sulaym (d.132H) - and he was one of the Mujtahid scholars and worshippers - that whenever he mentioned the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), he would weep and he would not stop weeping, to the extent that the people would have to get up and leave him."

Was just watching a lecture and the lecturer quoted this hadeeth:

Furthermore, imam Ahmed reported that Abul-Aswad narrated: I came to Al-Medinah and found that an epidemic had broken out that caused many fatalities. I sat next to Umar bin Al-Khattaab once when a funeral procession started and the people praised the dead person. Umar said, Wajabat (it will be recorded as such), Wajabat! “Then another funeral was brought forth and the people criticized the dead person. Again ”Umar said — Wajabat.

“Abul-Aswad asked, —What is wajabat, O Leader of the Faithful?“ He said, —I said just like Allah‘s Messenger (sallallaahu ”alaihi wa sallam) had said: Any Muslim for whom four testify that he was righteous, then Allah will enter him into Paradise.‘We said,”What about three?‘He said,”And three.‘We said”And two?‘He said”and two.‘We did not ask him about the testimony of one believing person. [Ahmed]
This was also recorded by al-Bukhaari, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasaai. Taken from the AbridgedTafseer Ibn Katheer
May Allah enable us to be amongst those whom have people testifying good things about us after our death.

'On their side are the resources of a mighty empire, strength unimpaired, habituation to victory, endurance of toil, unity, discipline, frugality, and watchfulness. On our side is public poverty, private luxury, impaired strength, lack of endurance and training; the soldiers are insubordinate, the officers avaricious; there is contempt for discipline; license, recklessness, drunkenness, and debauchery are rife; and worst of all, the enemy is accustomed to victory, and we to defeat. Can we doubt what the result will be? Persia alone interposes in our favour; for the enemy, as he hastens to attack, must keep an eye on this menace in his rear. But Persia is only delaying our fate; it cannot save us. When the Turks have settled with Persia, they will fly at our throats supported by the might of the whole East; how unprepared we are I dare not say!'

"I have known people and kept company with groups who neither rejoiced when the things of this world came to them, nor grieved when they lost anything in this world. The life of this world was more insignificant to them than dust. One of them might live for a year or for sixty years without ever having a garment that would entirely cover him, and without ever having anything that would come between him and the ground, and without ever having any food that he could ask to be prepared for him in his own home. When night came, they would be on their feet, with their foreheads flat against the earth, tears rolling down their cheeks, secretly calling on Allah to save them on the Day of Judgement. If they did something good, they never stopped being grateful for it, and they were always asking Allah to forgive them for it. By Allah, they were not safe from wrong actions, and were saved only by their constant turning in repentance. May Allah be pleased with them and grant them His mercy..." al Hasan al Basri rahimahullah

‘Amr bin Taghlib said, “Some property was given to the Prophet and he gave it to some people and withheld it from some others. Then he came to know that they (the latter) were dissatisfied. So the Prophet said, ‘I give to one man and leave (do not give) another, and the one to whom I do not give is dearer to me than the one to whom I give. I give to some people because of the impatience and discontent present in their hearts, and leave other people because of the content and goodness Allah has bestowed on them, and one of them is ‘Amr bin Taghlib.” ‘Amr bin Taghlib said, “The sentence which Allah’s Apostle said in my favor is dearer to me than the possession of nice red camels.” [Bukhari]

for that Hadeeth Akhunaa The Clan

My father would mention a variant of that Hadeeth, where the As'haab would ask Rasulu'L-Laah if a Muslim could commit various sins, whereby he would say something like, "Man is only a mere mortal, he may fall into this sin." But when the sin of lying was asked, he was sternly against it and said, "No, a Muslim may never lie!"

Could you please post a reference for the Hadeeth Akhee?
