"then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner”

    [al-Ahzaab 33:32]

A reminder for myself first then to everyone. SubhanAllaah how many marriages and family have been broken because it all starts with an 'innocent' chit-chat, inquiry, seeking advise, praises etc and eventually leading to something haram.

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.

If you really put a small value upon yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price

Never forget what people say to you when they're angry--that's when the truth comes out

A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.

‎''Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man's growth without destroying his roots.

“We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams

‎"There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: Those who are afraid to try themselves, and those who are afraid that you will succeed."

People were created to be loved
Things were created to be used.
The reason why the world is in chaos, is because things are being loved and people are being used.

I like to think of myself as a patriot, but even more so as a man. Where the two disagree, I say the man is right.

Believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see
    -Imam al Haddad rahimullah
Whoever remembers death often will find a small amount (of worldly things) sufficient for him; and whoever includes his speech in his deeds will speak little.

Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful. (Surat al Isra': 27)
