Narrated 'Aisha: the Prophet expired in my house and on the day of my turn, leaning against my chest. One of us (i.e. the Prophet's wives ) used to recite a prayer asking Allah to protect him from all evils when he became sick. So I started asking Allah to protect him from all evils (by reciting a prayer ). He raised his head towards the sky and said, "With the highest companions, with the highest companions." 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr passed carrying a fresh leaf-stalk of a date-palm and the Prophet looked at it and I thought that the Prophet was in need of it (for cleaning his teeth ). So I took it (from 'Abdur Rahman) and chewed its head and shook it and gave it to the Prophet who cleaned his teeth with it, in the best way he had ever cleaned his teeth, and then he gave it to me, and suddenly his hand dropped down or it fell from his hand (i.e. he expired). So Allah made my saliva mix with his saliva on his last day on earth and his first day in the Hereafter.

[Sahih Bukhari, Book #59, Hadith #732]

Imam Barkawi mentioned that the way to remove the tendency to anger is, “By removing is cause, which is avidness for rank, arrogance, and conceit. One who has these traits is easily angered by that which normally does not anger others."
Ibn Taymiyya (r) said: The Way of those Shuyukh of Tasawwuff is to call people to Allah's Divine Presence and obedience to the Prophet (Majma'a Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya, Dar ar-Rahmat, Cairo. Vol 11. Pg 497)

My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level.

Not sure on reference whether it be a quote, hadeeth.

"If it were not for disasters and afflictions, we would come empty-handed on the Day of Resurrection."

Glory be to Him, Who has not left us empty-handed.

Whoever remembers death often will find a small amount (of worldly things) sufficient for him; and whoever includes his speech in his deeds will speak little.

Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful. (Surat al Isra': 27)

"The likeness of the believer who reads the Quran is like that of citron; its taste is delicious and its scent is pleasant.

And the likeness of the believer who does not read the Quran is like that of a date; its taste is delicious, yet it has no scent.

And the likeness of a hypocrite who reads the Quran is like that of a basil; its scent is pleasant, yet its taste is bitter.

And the likeness of a hypocrite who does not read the Quran is like that of a colocynth; its taste is bitter and it has no scent".

"The sensitive Muslim woman is friendly and likeable. She makes friends with other women and mixes with them, and they in turn like to meet her and make friends with her, because of her gentle, refined, attractive character and good treatment of them. These are the best characteristics that a woman may attain".

Translation: "And (remember) when Luqmân said to his son when he was advising him: "O my son! Join not in worship others with Allâh. Verily! Joining others in worship with Allâh is a great Zűlm (wrong) indeed."

Subhaana Allaah. This is the first advice Luqmaan the wise gave to his son.

We should advice our children with this advice and teach them the beauty of Tawheed and the filthiness of Shirk, So that they can be aware from it.

"The wicked of my Ummah are those who feed themselves with comfortable bliss, and sow upon it their body mass, and verily their passionate endeavours are for indulging in all kinds of food and clothing, and loudly and proudly chatter in their speech.” - Prophet Muhammad saws, recorded by, amongst others, al-Bayhaqi and ibn Mubarak (courtesy of Imam Afroz Ali)
