Imam Junaid said,
“Four traits lift a person to the highest ranks, even if their works and knowledge are little: (1) Forbearance (hilm) (2) Humility (tawadu`) (3) Generosity (sakha’) (4) Good character (husn al-khuluq)–and this is the perfection of faith.” [Iamam Junaid in Ghazali, Ihya' `Ulum al-Din]

Reciting the Qur’an disciplines the soul in many respects. It teaches man what he is required to do and stirs in him what he needs to purify his soul- Imam Gazali (RA)

If your intention in seeking knowledge is between God Most High and yourself and not merely to gain information, then rejoice! The Angels will spread out their wings for you while you walk, and the creatures in the sea will ask God to pardon you.”

The word trust contains an ocean of meaning, but underneath it all is the sense of responsibility, the sense of having to appear before Allah and to account for one’s actions.

the Prophet said
"When you deal with interest, and hold fast to the tail of the cow, and become contented with agriculture, and you leave Jihad in the Way of Allaah, Allaah will permit your humiliation and will not lift it from you until you return to your deen."
"The nations summon each other upon you as you call guests to eat from a plate of food", they said , "will we be few in number on that day O Messenger of Allaah?" He said, "no rather you will be many on that day, but you will be like the foam on the ocean. And Allaah will remove the fear in the hearts of your enemies and place in your hearts al-wahn". They said, "what is al-wahn O Messenger of Allaah?" He said, "love of this world and hatred of death."'
I have a slight feeling that we may be living in a prophecy. what do you think?Ibrahim Hassan Yusuf

Seek (benaficial) knowledge, because seeking it for the sake of Allah is worship. And knowing it makes you more fearing of Allah; and searching for it is jihad, teaching it to those who dont know is charity, reviewing it and learning it is like tasbeh. Through knowledge Allah will be known and worshipped.

“O you people! I have been given authority over you but I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me, and if I do wrong, then put me right. Truth consists in loyalty and falsehood in treachery. The weak among you shall be strong in my eyes until I secure his right if Allah wills; and the strong among you should be weak in my eyes until I wrest the right from him. If a people refrain from the fighting in the way of Allah, Allah will smite them with disgrace. Wickedness is never widespread in a people but Allah brings calamity upon them all. Obey me as long as I obey Allah and His Messenger, and if I disobey them you owe me no obedience. May Allah forgive me and forgive you.” - Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq radiyAllaahu 'unhu

"We are living in strange times, where you can have a PhD in Bio-Chemistry and you can have a Doctorate in Nuclear Physics or History or Political Science, and the guy does not know how to be a husband - the guy has no clue how to be a neighbor - he has no idea how to be a good son or a good father for that matter, he has no clue. I would consider that a basic education!" [Brother Nouman Ali Khan]

"Faith (îmân) is not sound except with [correct] words. Faith and words are not sound except with [good] works. And faith, words and deeds are not sound except with [the correct] intentions in conformance to the Sunnah. Those who went before us of our Salaf did not separate faith from deeds: deeds are a part of faith..., and faith is from [ones deeds]."

► CORRUPTED HEART ►"The heart becomes corrupt in six ways: 1] Committing sins in the hope of repenting (later on in life), [2] Seeking knowledge and not applying it, [3] Practice without ikhlas [i.e. sincerity], [4] Eating the sustenance of Allah without thanking Him for it, [5] Not being pleased with Allah's decree and [6] Burying the dead without learning from them."
