Assalaamu Alaikum
Just thought i'd start this thread on cute things kids/toddlers/babies do.
A common one is when they close or cover their eyes and think if they can't see you, then you can't see them!!
One thing that my 3 year old son started doing recently is as follows. I'll be calling him over cause he's been doing something naughty or telling him something directly to his face ... when he's not happy with what i'm saying or doesn't want to take account to his bad actions, he'll reply with "ma feeni esma3ik" ... that is, "I can't hear you" lol
So, any more cute kiddie stories to tell? Do share![]()

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu,
I personally don't like the word, 'cute', because it means ugly but entertaining. However, I am the oldest of six in my family. (Mashallah..He he he) and I have the mental capacity of a three year old. However, I am usally the ring-leader for my sibilings and any other children I meet. I usually start trouble and well, its not my fault I have an army of potential trouble-makers...Muhahahaha. I feel sorry for my mum, she has to put up with the smarty-pant comments we make. Like she will say, 'bed time', And I look at my sisters and we turn to the stuffed toys and say, "Yeh you heard the lady, BED TIME". We drive our mum crazy, to the point were she screams, "I hate CHILDREN", though I don't blame her because she's just too tired to keep up.
UnsurAlUmmah, I think you should re-name your thread to, "GENUIS and their naughty ways....Muhahahaha". Ans then write a warning as a sub-title, "WARNING....the following information may scare potential parents to have children! BEWARE!!!"

I love it when they make nick names up for people.
My lil brother was a professional at that..lol
For example:
My brothers name is Muhammad...he called him hahamed or deele
or Yasmin became beele(he was trying to say water in our language, as she drank alot of that
)
Or my other brother Zackaria was Isskiye
Masha'Allah...I love little kids!

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu,
I'm Back again. Yeh, people tend to make all types of nick names. Like my brothers and sisters called me, "Takeeeeno", in other words, the fatest lard you'll ever see. And I call one of my sisters, 'Fat Tony', she hates that, but then again that's why I call her that. My little brother is called, 'Drama Queen', or 'Sook', because he can throw a tantrum that can blow you away. I have to go know my dad's going to kick me off the computer days. Later Days my fellow Muslims and remember, children are innocent beings that wouldn't cause trouble for all the money in the world!

wa3allaykum wassallaam wa rahmatualahi wa barakatuhu
i have to disagree, i thought they were innocent once upon a time until i realised its FAKE, with their pupy dog eyes!
wouldnt cause trouble?????????
man were r u living LOL. let me take u back a couple of years, when my little bro was about 3-4.
one day i walked in my granny's bedroom, only to find her bed smuthered with butter and to top it off sugar. i dont know how he dragged these bulky items, (were lebos we get things by the dozens, in other words huge amounts of buckets). The reason why he did it u ask? he didnt like granny. note: he was only 3-4
another day in ramadan! wallah we left the kitchen to answer the door cos some people were invited over! and we left my little bro for only 5 minutes, and guesse wat? we saw keba nayeh, mixed with lubya ma3 lahem, all the food was over the place mixed!
i have one more incident, and ill just let u in on the ingredients, no method!
*poo (yes poo, the real stuff) ew (sorry to all those at home enjoying their lunch/dinner
*morning fresh
*kitchen walls
*and a three year old full of imagination
guesse what happens next?
oh and i was the maid
dats right cleaning up after`that, i think thats why im mentally disfunctional alhamdullilah!

Kids and their cuteness! I don't know where to begin

SubhanAllaah, they are so cute...I love them!
My little 8mth old nephew is by far my fav. nephew mashaAllaah. What make me love him the most is the way he just smiles to anyone and everyone...ask Houda2
So for me, it's their happiness or cheerful face that makes kids look so cute

hmmm i reckon kids being annoying is cute! like i know its annoying, but whne they arnt around u miss them dearly
i love the way they fix themselves up
and the way they get excited when they do something right.
ohhh i love when they dont judge u. and the way u can act like a child in front of them and they wont think ur an idiot, rather a genious full of humour! i love that abt them.
i love the fact kids bring happiness (by the will of Allah) and the way they unite family. i love their face expressions, if they r going to do something cheeky, u just know it! if they done something bad u know it (thats my fav one, cos they go so quiet whne they done something bad)! i love the way their heart/feelings/mind are expressed through facial expression, lol they cannot hide it. only if their really good.
most loveable, is when they get shy!!!
and when they show their love towards their mothers
i dont like when their quiet lol, no fun in thatIf you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. His reply to you is gauranteed; but in the way He chooses, not the way you choose, and at the moment He desires, not the moment you desire.

If my sister does something, and she wants to hide it, before you even figure out what's been done, she'll come up to you and say "I didn't do anything" .. from that you know she's done something and you start to freak out lolif they done something bad u know it (thats my fav one, cos they go so quiet whne they done something bad)!
I've nicknamed my sister a few things.. drama queen.. attention seeker.. brat.. little miss I think I'm all that and more
The list seems to be growing as each day goes on..
As for cute things kids do.. I love it when they come up to you from out of no where and just hug and kiss you. It's so
Especially when you're feeling down and out it's a nice little pick me up.
Oh and my lil cuz has this thing where when he smiles, he shuts his eyes really tightly and opens his mouth fully.. it looks like he's laughing but no sound comes out of him whatsoever. It's so adorable masha'Allaah. He has just started crawling and you gotta see him moving around the house like he owns the place
Uhhhhh kids.. don't let me get started on their cuteness
What is for you will not pass you and what passes you is not for you!

thanx Ahmad. hounestly the only reason why i know those actions with kids is cos ive been babysitting ever since i was 14. not my family. other kids, and when i c them today, i just get this huge smile, i dont think they can ever forget me, LOL i just remembered what they used to do. i had to watch HI-5 with them all the time, as sad as it gets i still remember the moves cos we all used to do them
ok ill be quiet now! i think thats just an example of how kids dont judge us! man if i done that in front of oldies ill be all over CNN
also u kinda learn with these experices, with my kids insha'allah if Allah wills, no hi-5 just good dawud warnby/zain bikha nasheeds for the little ones, ive heard quite a few, cos the kids end up singing hi-5 etc...imagine how many useful words they would have learnt if it was anasheed. trial and error i guesse

i dont want to be picky but:
I LOVE KIDS WITH DIMPLES
OH MY! dimples r my weakness, my nephew has dimples, oh man i feel like running up stairs to wake him up, (ive woken him up so many times when i get back from work im driving his mum crazy lol)If you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. Oh by far my favourite topic! I can go on and on.
My 14 month old baby girl keeps us amused all day long, mashaallah. She's full of mischief and giggles and just watching them play around and respond to us so innocently makes my heart melt, subhanAllah!
* when I take her picture she always anticipates the flash and closes her eyes.
* yesterday dh was praying and she went and say right under him. lol he wasnt able to sit down after getting up from his sujood and she didnt want to budge either. I was in the shower and returned to see dh in an awkward position with my baby under him and her feet up. lol It was so hillarious that I couldnt control my laughter and put my hand on my mouth and started giggling. Little madam on noticing me comes crawling to me and then puts her hand on her mouth and laughs - just like I did. lol it was so cute mashaallah.
* She is very attached to her teddy bear and loves it to bits. wont sleep without it. And during the day if she happens to come across it while playing, she runs to it and hugs it and squeals "teddyyyyy" and lies down on it. mashaallah.
* when she had started learning how to get off the bed on her own, dh and I would encourage her by saying good girl and clapping our hands. Now even though shes learnt it fully and does it without second thought, she still gets off and stands against the bed and claps her hands before she proceeds - irrespective of whether someone is looking at her or not. lol
* She loves the nasheed "Al-Khaliq" frm I look I see, and tries to sing along in her baby babble.
* She says "handulilah" after she sneezes, yawns, coughs - lol everything. And "Allah" for bismillah - before she eats.
Theres lot more stuff I could write but will end here. Dont want to bore everyone!

Yeah, what a great thread. Kids are the best!!!!! The things they say and do sometimes. My daughter is now 3 and a real little thinker. The other day I was putting her in the car and she had a worried look on her face. I'm 7 months pregnant. I asked her what was wrong. She said to me "Mummy, the baby is going to break your tummy!!!!!" Mashallah. I had to explain to her that the docters at the hospital will help me to get the baby out of my tummy, and then she felt better. Sometimes she is so protective. Another time I was getting a cheak up at the docters and she was taking my blood pressure. My daughter said "be very very gently with my Mummy!!!!!" LOL, it feels nice to know how much they love you. But the best would have to be when all of a sudden she wraps her arms around me and says "I love you", just out of nowhere.
