swearing is unattractive in both male and females and vulgar words have really horrible meanings also - if you actually know the meanings -

had to reinstall windows today man its soooo annoying because then you have to reinstall a million other programs..anywayyyyssss while sitting at my comp i started to hiccup out of no where lasting for a few moments. Aaminah(4) who was fiddling with something next to me says "baba are you hiccuping? you have to ask Allah to take away your hiccups. Allah please take away babas hiccups and make him better!" mashallah my hiccups actually went away. she then asks me if my hiccups stopped and when i said they did she says "baba you have to say thankyou to Allah and say alhamdulillah" to which of course i did. barakallahu feehaa.

I was trying to put my son to bed and he heard hubby get a call from a friend. So he jumps out of bed, waves to me, grabs his shoes and shoves them in my husband's face because he knows Irsyad is going out.
Hilarious! Then... Abdulmalik tells me he's going to "mamam" which is going to eat in hubby's village language.
He waves to me and leaves.
....that kid knows he's going to get sweets... cheeky monkey.

So I was at my grandparent's house yesterday praying asr, in the extra sitting room they have, and had my cousin Nadeem standing next to me praying too. Now to set the scene for you, the room has double sliding glass doors, so you can see in/out of the room, and it's easy for a walking 1 year old kid to enter the room.

There I was, just about to start praying, when Nadeem's little cheeky brat of a sister decides she wants to join us for prayer. Now, this girl hardly ever goes to anyone. She's so stuck to her mum, you would think she was superglued on, literally. She has to slowly warm up to you before she goes anywhere near you, and even then you have to give her so much attention and play with her so that she will give you the time of day. Yes, she's a snob.

So anyway, she stands in front of me as I start praying, acting all innocent, putting her head on the ground like as if she's making sujood, and being all giggly. During my 2nd rak'ah, she stands up, comes right up in front of me, looks right up at me (I'm standing there looking down at the prayer mat, so she's doing a pretty good job at trying to get my attention) and she cracks up laughing. It wasn't just a normal laugh. She was laughing like I had never seen her laugh before, mashaa'Allaah. This triggered Nadeem to crack up laughing too, and so there I was, standing, about to finish my 2nd rak'ah, and I succumbed to her trying to get my attention! I had to break my prayer because I couldn't concentrate anymore, and I just started laughing at/with her. I looked at her, and her laughter tone changed to one of victory! The lil' brat!

I stand up again, and start my prayer again. I thought that's it, she got what she wanted out of me, now she'll leave me alone. Boy was I wrong. Second time around, I didn't even last a whole rak'ah! She did the exact same thing to me, and sent me into another fit of laughter.

Her mum came to take her away, and as she started crying and kicking up a fuss, I decided to go to another room to pray. I went to my grandparent's bedroom, and they too have a sliding door, but it's wooden, so you can't see in/out of the room. So I closed it, and started praying. As I was praying, I could hear my aunt and Nadeem laughing (turns out she was looking around the house for me lol), then all of a sudden, the door slides open. Yes. It was her. Again. Out to torment me! She came up to me, a 3rd time, did the exact same thing as before, and AGAIN I had to break my prayer! No closing eyes, no trying to ignore, NOTHING could take away her laughter (which mashaa'Allaah was absolutely gorgeous). This girl was on a mission, and she was winning me over.

I decided to take some time out, allow her to feel like she won, gave her the attention she was seeking, and then after about 5 minutes I got up to pray again. Alhumdulillaah by that stage, she was pretty much over all that laughter. She still tried to distract me, but it wasn't so bad anymore. I was able to finish praying at my 4th attempt. Alhumdulillaah.

I walk out of my grandparent's room, and see Nadeem standing in the extra sitting room I was in earlier, praying. He said he had gone in to pray again because he couldn't finish his prayer off properly before

So, that was my lil' adventure with a 1 year old yesterday. Fun times.

Abdulmalik was trying to help me water the plants, his watering is so bad he tipped most of the water on me!
So my nice clean Abaya I washed yesterday is now wet.

As for pray distractions, when I go into sadjah he climbs on top of my back and bounces on me...pain in the butt.
Or he'll pray with me but under my prayer scarf and I have to do sadjah over the top of him.

My 7 year old sister loves coins, so my family give her whatever coins they have and my mum puts them in her little purse, when she has like about $10 worth of coins my mum takes her to the shops to buy something. At one stage she didnt have any money at all, so my uncle had some coins and gave them to her, she got so happy and excited she strated jumping up and down saying 'Yaay!! Im rich again!!'

It was soo funny...gotta love their innocence

lol i was reading to my daughter, the story book "The story of Adam a.s" and when I read it to her whenever I said Adam i would obviously say allayhisalam, so when i got her to read it to me she goes from page to page without saying names or anything remotely related to what I had read to her, it went something like this:

'alylisalam went this way, and alylsalam that way, and to the giraffe ate flower, and alaylasalam that way to fish and (reach a page with a big tree) and this tree tooo big 3alyaslam mafi ahmala (alayhisalam can not carry it) and then apples and tomato (at a page with a fail drawing of an apple) and 3alyasalam rah 3al sky (then Alayhisalam went to the sky)

Her version was very interesting however inaccurate lol

I was at my uncles house tonight sitting on an ottoman that was big enough for two people. My lil' 1 yr old cousin, who doesn't like anybody came and sat down next to me. Next thing I know she puts an arm around my waist and hugs me it was so cute and so unlike her made me feel really special haha

A few minutes later I got up to do something, and so my sis tries to sit where I was, except my lil' cousin didn't let her. She'd push her away screaming la' la' (no, no). As I went back to sit I thought there's no way she's going to let me sit back next to her, so I go to sit on the couch. As I walk past her, she taps on the ottoman and says to me 'edi 'edi (sit sit). Made me want to eat her I felt like a lil' kid who had just been given a jar full of lollies to demolish hah

Last night my 3rd child Zaynab who is 5? Maybe 6 hmm anyways made my work lunch for me. Asking what drink I'd like and which fruit and what I'd like in my sandwich each time running off to the kitchen and coming back to ask the next question. I told her I wanted a cheese sandwich, she runs off then returns "baba do u want butter on the cheese?" holding the cheese pack. I told her yes but on the bread " ooooh" she said as if realizing a mistake. Running quickly back to the kitchen. I'm running late for lunch n now I'm wondering what to expect as I havent checked it. But it was soo cute of her to make me lunch =D
