I gave my son his lunch (mexican tortilla's) and he ate a few bites and told me he was finished.
I got upset because he's been at his grannies for a week and x mil was saying he only eats soup so she just gives him that, so he decided to be fussy with me for lunch.
ha ha i went into evil mother mode, told him to sit down and finish his food. I don't care if you don't like it you're eating it. If you don't eat it then you wont have anything else to eat until dinner and dinner will be this too.
He sat down and finished his plate.
ha ha, my dad was worse with us if we refused to eat our food.
He'd make us staythere until we eat it, whether its cold or we sit there for an hr.
If we still didn't eat it by bed time we'd have to have it for breakfast...

May Allah preserve your children dear sister, I ask Allah to make them of those who are righteous and steadfast upon the haqq and make them pinnacle characters in bringing Islam back by the Will of Allah.
I'm an uncle to 17 nieces and nephews, I assign them many chores when they ALL come over. For example, I pay one of my nephews 40cents to draw on my back for 15mins. And if I'm training in my backyard I get a niece and nephew to hold my punching bag for fun (I don't kick it hard obviously). And they always want to hang off of my chin up bar so either my sisters or myself let them "pull themselves up" with assistance.
Then they all decide to jump me and slap my back and raid my room and hide under my bed. I have a nephew who is like my mini bodyguard, he is my snitch! Anyone does bad he reports it to me, and he is very accurate in his description.
I've done some very funny things to one of my nephews but that's a long story in itself.
Alhamdulillah for family.

The past few times that Liyana's seen me she would run up to me with arms wide open and hug me.. It's such an awesome hug
she wraps her arms around your neck and squeezes on really tight
I love it

Yesterday my 6 year old daughter goes to me, 'Dad, bricks are the second most strongest thing in the world aren't they?' So I surprisingly ask 'and what is first?' to which she replies in an assuring tone 'Allaaaaah'.
...the Muslim raised his sword up and swung it down hard on the kafir, so forcefully that the blade went down his hip and split him in half. When the Muslim unveiled his face, he looked at me and said, "What do you think of that, Ka'b? I am Abu Dujana."

ahhh my daughter has become such a guido..
Kinder: she told the teacher "I cant maaannnn" and then teacher was imitating her to which my daughter chucked her one of her classic greasies and said "AhBeKa (rebecca) I say mannn" (like she has to have permission to use my daughters phraseology)
At Home: She is on the phone with her aunty and uncle and they are telling her to come over to which she says "I can maannnn OMG mannnnn I am too big (too big to drive the car! lol)
Playing Ipad: playing some game my husband put on the Ipad I think for himself but she insists on playing it, and she is not doing too bad, but everytime she dies she exclaims "I am going to try one more time, I cant do it mannn" and angrily pokes the touch-screen..
then this morning I caught her slapping her forehead when she couldnt work out the correct letter in one of her edu-games! LOLThe woman came out of a man’s ribs. Not from his feet to be walked on not from his head to be superior, but frm his side to be equal, under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved

I walked into my grandparent's house today, and Liyana comes straight up to me with her hands out in front of her, close to each other and open, and I thought she wanted me to give her something. So as I'm trying to figure out what she wants, she leads me to the room that we pray in, grabs the prayer mat, and hands it over to me. So I lay it down on the floor for her, and she starts praying and making dua'a lol it was the cutest thing mashaa'Allaah. She then finishes, puts the prayer mat away, grabs my grandma's glasses and goes to me 'layki! layki tayta' (look, look it's tayta) uhhhh she's too cute <3

This morning after picking up Aaminah(4?5?) from kinder. I was talking to her how much we love Allah for all the blessings he has bestowed upon us. From our mothers and fathers to the food we eat and I also mentioned the blessing of the Prophet Muhammad saas, Aaminah then sat there quietly until she said
"when I go up and have a baby I'm going to call him the prophet Muhammad"
I said "muhammad? Mashallah that a beautiful name"
She said " yeah I love it too"

The awkward moment when you are sitting quietly in the lounge when your son (8) with a completely random question Asks:
"mum, if baba got married again would she be my mum too?"
I sink a little into the couch and think 'here we go I'm gonna cop it now'
Me "what u mean married again?" ( I should have stayed out of it)
"you know baba if you marry another woman"
"ooooookaaaayyyyyy......"
That's where "cute things kids say" ended and "arguments married couples have" started =\

On the weekend, i had to take my 13 year old sis to the dentist, and my other 7 year old baby sister (even when shes 20 she will always be my baby sister
) came with us as well. On the way I played a small lecture called Strangers by Khaled Yasin, and I was lost in my thoughts, and didn't realise that my baby sister was so into it and was actually listening to what the sheikh was saying, until when it finished, she asked me if i can play it again cause she loved it, i looked at her in shock, and asked her exactly what she wanted me to play, and she told me the lecture, and i asked her why, and she said, cause its good, I then asked, did you understand what he's talking about?? She's like, "He's talking about strangers...wait what does strangers mean again??" lool i had to laugh, she was soo cute if i wasn't driving, i would have smothered her with kisses
I explained to her what he meant by strangers, as simple as i can...i'm soo bad at explaing things like this to a kid. Alhmadillah she got what i meant. I'm so proud of her, she really surprised me though, didn't think she would be so interested in the lecture. She made me play it over and over again until we reached home, the more I played it, the more loved it, and I think after i explained to her what the sheikh meant by strangers, she understood the lecture more alhamdillah

My sister was speaking to my cousin Nadeem today on Facetime, and in the background my brother was watching wrestling on TV. He could hear it, and asked what was on tv, and my sis turned the ipod around so that she could show him what they were watching. Next thing we know is that he's hung up on her, which was kind of weird 'coz he didn't say bye or anything. My sister didn't really make much of it though, and went to do some other stuff.
10 minutes later we hear a knock on the door. My dad goes to answer, and Nadeem's standing there, with a big grin on his face, says 'assalamu alaykum' and runs straight inside.. made us laugh 'coz he ran straight to sit in my brother's lap to watch wrestling with him bahaha
Later on we had found out from his mum that he was lazing around at home, feeling sick.. but when he had hung up on my sister, he ran to his mum, told her she had to drop him off at our house and that she didn't have any other choice in the matter 'coz he wanted to come and watch wrestling LOL he's such a crack up of a kid mashaa'Allaah. What is for you will not pass you and what passes you is not for you!

Spent last Sunday at my sister in laws house, she has a 5 year old kid, who is mashallah so energetic, I haven't seen any kid like him. He doesn't stop talking all day and is always running around non-stop. I have never seen him with a straight face on either, he's always making funny weird faces. On Sunday, he was playing this Spiderman game on xbox, and they had some weird scary looking 'monsters'. His mum told him off to stop playing but he wasn't listening. I suppose to scare him off from the game, she told him that he'll start having nightmares from it in his sleep. So he tells her, ' No I won't, I'll stop thinking'.
Lool I really wish that was ever possible!!بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ

my little cousins wanted to randomly go for 'a drive' on Eid at night... a lot of the little girls that come over ask me if I can take em for a drive for some reason lol I tell them there's nothing to see on these streets at night except for maybe drunk people and everything's closed..
anyway so the one that is 4 years old I tell her ok sure just give me petrol money so she actually goes and pulls out a few notes from her mum's handbag and comes and gives it to me in the living room lmho. She had $10 from my dad but doesn't wanna give me that so she casually takes money out of her mum's purse loooooool and she kissed my hand too what a crack upبعبارة مختصرة جبهتنا منصورة
