Took my mum to a specialist today and the doctor happened to be a man. Alhamdulillah I was present with her. Just before we were about to leave he put his hand out to my mum and wanted to shake her hand and I explained to him why Muslim woman aren't allowed to shake the hands of non-mahram men. He started asking a few questions about how Muslims greet one another and I told him we exchange the salams [said it in arabic and then translated it] he was so amazed subhanAllah. He asked me to repeat it and said, what a beautiful way to greet one another. mashaAllah he looked quite amazed. May Allah guide him

you should carry some Brief Illustrated Guide books/"about islam" pamphlets with you wherever you go... never know when they might come in handy

Yeah good idea, I used to out some dau books in my bag, but just be careful of books you’re giving make sure the book aren’t to strong for them. I remember once when I used visit my next door neighbour, I made a silly decision to give her a book about women in Islam, I so regret that, I tear up the book up it made me soo angry I didn’t even read that book my self before I give it. After she read it she said it was carp was WHAT, how der my next door neighbour say dat about my deen but after that something happen on the news about with tourism since that event I lost her. I did get to continue my dau journey.

My highlight today was going to Victoria Market to buy a gift for my newly-married best friend, and getting an awesome discount from the price of the frames I bought her (these frames are gorgeous mashaa'Allaah) just because they had a small scratch on one of the panels that wasn't even visible!
