You can get warra' enib in a can? Weird...

Funnily enough, we had warra' enib for dinner today too. Although, judging from your post, I don't like it as much as you do.

Warra2 3aneb in a can is nothing like warra2 3aneb freshly cooked. Nothing compares.

I finally figured out what that "P" light is that turns on everytime I start the car! I've been puzzling over it for months! It's the light that tells me that my handbrake is on, LOL! Today I was actually looking at it when I put my handbrake down and it turned off, and I was like "OMG, I finally know what that light is for!" :-D

And I heard something very profound and true today, somebody said " There is only one mujahida in life, the mujahida to abandon your own will for the Will of Allah (SWT). Anyone who masters that, masters life!" Subhanallah how simple and how profoundly true!! Everything in life presents us with two choices, the choice to follow your own will and whims or the choice to follow Allah (SWT)'s Will and commands. If we chose the first we lose, and if we choose the second we win. I thought that was just beautiful, the summary of life, in a nutshell! :-D

We have SHEEEEP!!! Two of them, they're so cute!!! Now our backyard really does look like a mini farm, we already had a fruit and vegetable garden and 5 chickens (the kids love collecting their eggs every morning!:-D), now we also have sheep, they'll only be there till Eid but it's nice for the kids to be able to feed them and play with them for a while! :-D

My daughter went to her yr 6 formal yesterday and did the smart thing and ordered fish. Only when her fish arrived did everyone else realise that she wasn't going to touch the meat. The teachers got all worked up coz they'd called the owners and they said that the food was halal, but my daughter told them that she didn't know what the source was (machine or hand slaughtered) so she wasn't going to touch it. One of the teachers was like "we can sue them if it's not halal" and my daughter was like "What benefit will suing do if I've already eaten haram?" So they couldn't do anything and she just happily ate her fish, LOL! Alhamdulillah she's only 11 but she knows how to stick to her guns when it comes to her deen.

    Were the owners Muslim?

Sorry Ukhtunaa naqabi, I don't get it

If the teachers were told it was Halaal, and the teachers told the students that this was acceptable, why would your child question if the source was hand or machine slaughtered?

I am not going to get myself in to a fiqh debate here , I am just curious is all...

No, I am yet to hear any news from CT, or anyone that can aid me in respect to legal aid.

I am just asking Allaah for help at the moment.

    Alhamduli'L-Laahi `alaa kulli haal.

Masha'Allah that is the best you can do. Sometimes it's when you let go, that Allah changes the situation.

Well there is some doubt on the halalness of machine slaughtered meat so we avoid it altogether just to be on the safe side.
