Here are some pics of the Grand Canyon from the top and a couple from midway through the hike. The first four were taken from clifftops.

This last one came out weird, but I liked the colors. That was a little before sunset, around 6 hours from the 8 we walked that day.
I'll be posting more of some of the rivers, streams, and wildlife we saw down there insha Allah.

Nice, mashaAllah. Looks so awesome. I'm a little surprised by the snow, though. I wouldn't have suspected snow to fall there anytime throughout the year, let alone a month into spring.

Oh yeah it was cold up there, most likely because of the very high elevation. There was definitely a bed of snow throughout the little town on top and in the forest, but when you go down the canyon it melts and it becomes quite warm indeed but not hot. Al hamdulilah we came at a perfect time, because I hear in the summer it gets so hot it's practically an oven you do not want to venture into. Heck I got sunburned even though I was wearing sun block despite the warm not-too-hot weather.
Here are some pics of animals we saw:

Cute mountain squirrels, very friendly actually.

Awesome fox/coyote we saw.

Yup you can ride mules up/down the canyon.

Deer at the camp site.

Nice photos masha'Allah.
One day I want to shoot a deer like the one in your photo with by bow and eat it.O you who believe! Here are some pics that give an idea of what you see while hiking:

As you can see the weather and terrain changes as you descend subhaan Allah. You go from snowy, to dry red desert, then at the bottom lush green lands, rivers/streams, all kinds of trees.

Some pictures we took on the road:

Mountains in Colorado:

These are pictures taken by my friend who was with us. He likes to take pictures of seemingly uninteresting things, like a bench, but he makes them nice to look at with their own sort of mood. I would say it's talent, since he has no formal training or that much experience in photography.

This is from a place in Santa Fe:

Cool stuff, the kind of thing I'd see on a site like interfacelift.

FW inspired me to get back out there and take some shots. My back yard is as far as I've ventured so far with a teething baby

While I love insects/bugs of all kinds, especially bees (who's very name in Arabic suggests they are a gift from Allah), I like that first pic a lot more. I dunno, there's something about soft white fuzzy things in bright green backgrounds with more white fuzzy things that make one feel good for some reason. Maybe they remind me of bunny rabbits, or white puffy kittens.

So I bought this piece of pyrite from a place on our way to the grand canyon and I was just looking at it as it had a couple of CDs near it, and the light reflecting off the CDs gave it nice colors. So here's a pic:
