The brother messaged me today after Fajr and said that they will be operating on her today.

May Allaah cure her and give her patience. Indeed all cure is from Allaah
Sisters, when she is feeling better InshaAllaah go visit her. You will surely put a smile on her face InshaAllaah and Allaah will put a smile on your face on the Day of Judgment when He rewards you for your visit.
Just a reminder for the sisters InshaAllaah -
Abu Hurairah radiyaAllaahu 'unhu reports that RasoolAllaah sallAllaahu 'alayhi wasallam said, "On the Day of Qiyaamah, Allaah Ta'ala will announce: O son of Aadam, I was sick yet you did not visit Me. He will reply, 'O Allah, how could I have visited You since You are Rabbul 'aalameen? Allaah Ta'ala will say: Did you not know that so and so slave of mine was sick, and yet you did not visit him? Should you have visited him you would have found Me by him. " [Sahih Muslim]

Jazakum Allahu kheiran for the reminder brother. Would someone be able to tell the sisters in the sister section who she is and where she is so we can go and visit her InshaAllah?

Just keep in mind that people deal differently in different situations. Even if the sister is able to receive visitors other than close family and friends, she may not want to. Sometimes we just want to be left alone, so make sure she is actually willing to acceptable visitors (including complete strangers) before going. I'm sure no one wants to make her feel uncomfortable.
May Allah give patience and strength to all our sisters and brothers going through trials and hardships and allow it be an expiation for them and a means to strengthen their relationship with Him - aameen.

Al-Hamdulillaah the brother just informed me that the operation went well. The tumour was cut out, and she is recovering at the moment.
Over the next few days she will be monitored to see if it spread at all, though things are looking good Inshaa'Allaah.Il futuro appartiene all'Islam

as-salaamu'alaikum wa'rahmatullaah,
After she prayed fajr today, the husband kissed her and passed her salaam, trying to stay positive but also pondering over the words of the Doctor and realising the seriousness of this tumor on the brain and the end result if the operation was not undertaken was death, she had not long to live and even if the operation did take place she could still die.
Best case scenario is that she will be paralyzed on her left side and in need of serious rehab. He also followed the sunnah of reminding her to keep her tongue moist with zikr.
The night before her husband and mother were sent home because of her condition and this was very hard, especially when she started to cry asking not to be left alone. She was drugged heavily then and was not really aware of where she was.
Latest news tonight is that the nurses are astounded with her recovery in such a short time. They have even discussed her walking tomorrow and getting better very quickly, saying that this is God's intervention and a shock even to them.
She was supposed to have tubes coming from her head releasing fluid and keeping her alive... even an induced coma was mentioned but now she is more awake and alert than before she went into the operation. We praise and thank Allaah alone! Verily the dua of the believer is a weapon that no one can stop.
One important thing was even after she was told she could be in her last hours, after asking for forgiveness from anyone she has wronged and praising her Rabb and testifying His Oneness she was extremely interested in the situation of the Muslims and the dawah, here and abroad.
The husband has now read this thread and feels so embarrassed at the amount of dua and kind words expressed here and through email.
May Allaah accept from you all, heal her and make us all companions of the Anbiyah in Jannah!

wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
Ameen to your du'a and JazakAllahu khayran for the good news.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him ) is reported to have said ,"How amazing is the affair of the believer. Everything is good for him - and that is for no one but the believer: If good times come his way, he is thankful and that is good for him, and if hardship comes his way, he is patient and that is good for him." (Authenticated by Al-Albani)

In a longer hadeeth the Prophet (saws) said, "Whatever Allaah takes away or gives, belongs to Him, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in this world), and so she should be patient and anticipate Allaah's reward.''
Ramadan Mubarak
