assalamu alaikum
alhamdulillah that is great news especially for wives who want to go there and study too. It is usually husbands/wives in these cases that do the best in this type of enrolment as most people from outside won't have a mahram residing in Madinah.

Bro, I am Alhamdulilaah fluent in writing, speaking and reading Arabic, and I dont disagree with you, I do prefer Madina over Riyadh and prefer Makkah over Madina, IF I ever get a chance to study the correct aqeedah and other Islamic teaching while looking after my family then I am defiantly there.
Plus if I can live in Australia, then trust me I can live anywhere else.
I just posted this thread for the other sisters I know of whom their husbands are also students at this university.إن أفكارنا وكلماتنا تظل جثثا هامدة ، حتى إذا متنا في سبيلها أو غذيناها بالدماء انتفضت حية وعاشت بين الأحياء
أقم صلاتك ......تنعم بحياتك

the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) said,
"Whoever was able to die in Al-Madinah, then let him do so, because whoever died in Al-Madinah, I will be an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad (74/2) and At-Tirmidhi (3917)
Thats my motivation
May Allah help us all to gain beneficial knowledge, wherever it may be and may He help us to live and die in the best of places.

As long as you don't do what some of the hajjis do and jump off buildings or run in front of cars to make sure you die.

Ahhh hajjis, gotta love the absolutely ridiculous things they do sometimes lol.
Great news though about the university. Although I would love to study in Madinah/Mecca I don't know if I could live there even though they are the best places to live.

Good sharing sisters, May you all get the opportunity to go there.

and everyplace varies somewhat in the education and the lifestyle and the experience, so one place that is great for some like madinah will be a nightmare for others, vice versa, and some places that have amazing reputation might actually not be that great compared to ither lesser known places, and some places might have very poor arabic institute so students graduate from shariah but are unable to express themselves and their emotions in arabic.
, for myself, I have more Maharem in Saudi Arabia than anywhere else, and I was born and bred there, others could be the opposite and find other places more familiar and comfortable + having a mahram there.
