Prep: 15
Total Time: 15
Serves: 10
Ingredients
1 cup plain chocolate biscuit crumbs (I used chocolate ripple)
80g butter,
melted 1/4 cup
ground almonds
500g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
200g TOBLERONE* Milk or Dark Chocolate, melted (I used milk chocolate, and personally I feel it needs about 300g or so to make it taste nice and chocolaty)
1/2 cup thickened cream
200g TOBLERONE* Milk or Dark Chocolate for shaving
Method:
COMBINE biscuit crumbs, butter and almonds, press into the base of a lightly greased 20cm springform pan. Chill.
BEAT Philly* and sugar using an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in the melted Toblerone and cream until well combined.
POUR onto the prepared crumb base and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours until set, or overnight. Serve topped with the Toblerone* shavings.
PS: I added 2 tsp of gelatine dissolved in boiling water to the cream cheese after beating it, before adding the chocolate to let it set better.
And I used cadbury flake garnish instead of shaved toblerone.

This one tasted awesome. Yes it's mousse-y. You can play around with the gelatine or let it out completely if you want a softer texture.

I tried this yesterday but used Cadbury chocolate. According to my family it was delicious. I didn't use gelatine nor put it in the freezer, but it set fine.
I used bout 300g of cadbury, but I stil think it needed bit more and prolly abit more sugar (or maybe thats coz of my sweet tooth?).
for the recipe

I've made a cheesecake before with less gelatine than the recipe asked for, and it didn't set. So I'd say no.. the thing that makes it set really is the gelatine.

that rule doesnt apply when it comes to chocolate, its every girl or boy for themself. Sack sharing!
