i remember watching that movie. i was so angry by the end of it...which reminds me why i dont watch that junk and like sticking to my action movies. i cant remember it exactly, but the guy lied to his mum about there being an afterlife with a heaven that contained (i remember this part) references to big houses etc stuff that we believe in, and bcos no1 lies everyone believed him so he had to make up the same story to everyone else. everything he spoke about in the movie was a lie only to make people happy - so when he said there is a god (they refer to him as the 'man in the sky') who controls everything and that he promises great rewards for good deeds etc, he was only using these examples as lies to make the people happy. then i remember the people in the movie started coming up with sarcastic questions to try and barr religious beliefs. so the whole message of the movie is to basically say that everything we believe in is a lie.

i just watched the man in the sky scene to refresh my memory although i wish i didnt he says the man in the sky is the cause of natural disasters, so the people start swearing at the him (man in the sky) and calling him disgusting names, literally. everyone that had anything to do with that movie are a bunch of animals so dont waste ur time with it.

You mustn't have lived then yaa Khaled. How can anyone forget the classic line in the final bout of the All Valley Karate Championship?

Songs have been made about it, T-Shirts have been printed, lives have been changed, all from that one classic line.

I for one couldn't fathom the movie.

Well... I could... but in different ways... I think, with the word 'think' being the operative word here, it was a mind numbing experiencing... literally... numbing

Not advised for people that don't appreciate 'schizophrenic/multiple personality disorder' type movies... It really had a weird ending... Made me say "HUH?!" More than once... I think, once for each disorder known to man

Sorry, but it did have its ups as well... It was well played/acted... Just that the ending killed it I think... Depends on what floats your boat.

It's one of those, 'Have to watch it more than once to appreciate it" type of movie I guess?

Oh, who am I kidding.... more like have to watch it more than twice/thrice even

Watch it more than once? I think the first time was bad enough! They should play that movie over and over to prisoners as a torture method.

I think they were trying to be all artsy and have this incredible twist at the end...but it didn't work, it was just stupid and boring.

I agree that Shutter Island is not worth watching, do not bother!!
However Shrek forever after is really good, it is worth watching...
