    I hated that movie.

Quentin Tarantino... I never get his stuff...

Just a movie that tries to make Jews look good in my humble opinion...

Oh c'mon! Might not be the "best movie", but it ain't that bad!

A hungry kid living in the lands of Arabia stealing a loaf of bread to feed himself and his monkey? And he ends up giving his half to an orphan anyway?Off with his head!

Yes there are a couple of songs.. But every other single movie ever made has some sort of music/song/musical instruments, etc used all throughout the movie. You can't even see the "20th Century Fox" logo come up without trumpets being blown!

As for the 'awrah.. lol it's a cartoon bro. All the woman are covered anyway except for Princess Jasmin. There's more 'awrah in all the movies mentioned here from just the extras in the movies than there is in Aladdin!

    Did I mention it's a cartoon? lol

Yeah I didn't like the fact that it's biased but as a movie and entertainment, it worked for me.

Someone lent us El Dorado for Aadam. I know it's only a cartoon, but SubhaanAllah it was full of sexual inuendo. And the girl was wearing basically a bikini. I thought I was just being paranoid so I let another friend see it....she was shocked too. We have to be careful what our kids see, even if it is just cartoon they still shouldn't be seeing awrah and this kind of behaviour

on the topic of cartoons, ~floss~ and I love 'Emperor's New Groove'. Kuzco and Kronk are so funny throughout the whole movie. It's about an arrogant king (Kuzco) who fired his evil servant so she tries to put poison in his drink to kill him and take the kingdom but HER servant (Kronk) gave her the wrong potion so Kuzco turns into a llama instead and thus begin their journey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaZhG0Pi6Vo

Emperors New Groove is so funny! My new favourite cartoon has to be Ice Age 3

here are some quotes that had me cracking up

Manny: Sid, you're gonna have a family too someday. You're gonna meet a nice girl, with... with low standards, no real options, or sense of smell...

Sid: No wonder you're single, you don't communicate. I say they're vegetarian, you say "grrr". I say let's talk about it, you say "grrr". That's not what I call communication.
    Mother T-Rex: GRRRRRR!
Sid: See that's your answer to everything!

Manny: Why is it called the "Gorge of Death"?
Buck: We tried calling it "The Big Smelly Crack" but people kept giggling.

ive actually noticed a lot of kids themed movies, animated or not have an extraordinary amount of subtle sexual references and jokes, that most kids would not understand, i think its deliberate to keep parents interested and entertained as much as the kiddos.

alot of these kids movies/cartoons are actually based on political and religious standings made for people old enough to understand to notice. The biggest perpetrator of such is ofcourse walt disney. For example sleeping beauty isnt just about a princess waiting to be awakened by a kiss. Its actually about the social status of women at the time of the movie being made. A woman being inferior to man, having to wait for a man to set her free sexually as opposed to a woman freeying herself as so many do nowerdays (lesbianism, transexualism, etc)

Walt disney was believed to have been part of a cult/religion that worships females. Females being sacred because they carry the gift of life (able to bare children). Another famous person believed to be apart of this is leonardo da vinci.

You could even see more obvious things like in Lion King. Theres a part when the baby lion is born (forgot his name) and the wind blows. If u see carefully, when the wind is blowing is actually forming the word 'sex'.

So yeah, interesting. This stuff isnt hocus pocus. We study it in university. Very political.

I am extremely picky when it comes to the movies I watch.....visuals aren't everything, it MUST have an amazing script. My newest favourite is The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. It ticks the boxes because of the AMAZING storyline, no nudity, no profanity, and no licentiousness. It truly left me aching when the credits finally rolled. The critics gave this movie so many stars that it was practically in a galaxy of it's own.

I must also say that Arlington Rd is one fantastic movie (Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins), and the storyline of Memento (Guy Pearce) is amazing (although I don't recommend because there was some bad language) because the movie works in reverse, starting at the end. Also, A Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe is PHENOMENAL, as is Million Dollar Baby with Hillary Swank (tears galore).

Sentimental faves? The Karate Kid *slinks away*......wax on, wax off......

A Beautiful Mind, with Russell Crowe = 10/10

Most of that score was based to the actual movie being based upon a true story.

    I love true story adaptations!

IMDb Plot Summary for "A Beautiful Mind"

A biopic of the meteoric rise of John Forbes Nash Jr., a math prodigy able to solve problems that baffled the greatest of minds. And how he overcame years of suffering through schizophrenia to win the Nobel Prize.

I give it 5/10 due to the sheer innovative nature of the movie.

the road (2009) not out in aust yet, changed my outlook, makes you think about the things we take so cheaply and how crazy everything would be struggling through whats left of life.

the story is set in possibly the worst type of post apocalypse, where plants dont grow anymore, so people either scavenge whats left, or become cannibals good yarn though.

at one scene the guy goes into a pond beneath a waterfall, naked, so be advised.
