Only Arabic. For those who don’t speak Arabic, the best thing would be to connect with one of his English/Arabic speaking students who can then translate on one's behalf.

    Assalamu Alaikum

Please make du’a for the preservation and wellbeing of Shaykh Murabit al Hajj, who is quite ill and is currently being taken for the first time to a military hospital in Mauritania to be treated.

The ummah would be at a massive loss without him

Tay can you explain the shaykh's advice on practicing mawlid and group thikr? Thanks.
Singapore: oppresses Muslims, bans athaan, bans hijab in schools, prevents building of madrassahs or muslim schools, puts limit on the percentage of Muslims allowed in each apartment building, and bans Muslims from joining Singapore's elite military forces. Singapore; Israel's best buddy!

Sure thing. His position on the mawlid is that it is something that should be done on a consistent basis rather than just on the birth of the Prophet saws. In regards to group thikr he considers it to be permissible as per Imam Nawawi (r) in Adab al-Athkar

So he says that Mawlid shouldn't be celebrated on a specific day?

He says that it should be done regularly, not just the day that the Prophet was born

So do you follow the shaykh on this, or do you celebrate Mawlid on a specific date?

This photo was taken by Sidi Peter Sanders. In addition to the below information Shaykh Muhammad Ali (may Allah swt preserve him) is the muadthin at the school of Shaykh Murabit al-Hajj (may Allah swt preserve and increase him). He spends his days correcting students with their Quran recitation.
