As Salaamu Alaikum all
I contacted Nestle to obtain a list of Halal Certified products.
They sent me a list which I have attached.
Enjoy! We confirm the attached products have been granted Halal status by the Islamic Co-ordinating Council of Victoria Inc.

There must be products that aren't on the list but are still Halal, true?
Cos I use the maggi Sesame oil but i didn't see it on the list..... but I can't imagine that it's not Halal.
I think it's best to just read ingredients because don't forget not all companies go to the bother (and cost) of having the stamp put on their products.

Whether or not their food products have permissible ingredients, we should stay away from nestle's products. They are one of the most unethical companies on the planet and have been involved in a number of cases of extreme exploitation of the poor. Most recently they heavily marketed powdered milk in Africa, giving away large amounts of the product and telling the locals it was healthier than breast milk. Then when the children had gotten to an age where the mother could no longer breast feed, they cut off the free supplies and charge exorbitant amounts for it. Nestle has been involved in similar scandals involving loaning livestock under the impression it was a gift then later charging huge amounts for it. Muslims need to move past such a simple question of the ingredients and look at what their money is truly contributing towards. And not just when it affects Palestine.
