Im assuming you got yours from the middle east.

I had the orginal xda but unfortunately i dropped it a few too many times, yes im a clutz.

Im thinking venturing into the pda's again. Are there any others that challenge the xda mini?

imate jam sells for about $930 while o2 mini for $960. If they are the same, which they seem to be, why the price difference?

except it has Arabic support and comes with Qu'ran, Arabic dictionary, prayer times, etc.
im assuming if i buy it from oz it wont have such features, am i right?

Just make sure to know what you are doing when buying on ebay. Some people get scammed when they are new to ebay.

How much is an imate jam in the middle east (the one with Quran etc)?

We've got an MPX and Xda II now and Alhamdulillah nothing is wrong with them, but when we had MPX 220, Motorola couldn't even tell us how to hard reset the phone! We were told 'you'll need new software, we don't have access to that yet because the phone's not in Australia and this is an overseas model we can't fix it for u'. Not impressed

    ameen.

Is the Imate Jam or the XDAII better? I think thats the model that has a qwerty keyboard that you pull out or something (looks like the imate).

This may seem like a silly question - but how do you type anything on the imate jam if theres no keyboard?

XDA II doesn't have the keyboard thing i think that's the i-mate. There's a keypad that pops on the screen when u need to type, or u can use transcriber which i love! You just write with your stylus and it recognises it by itself, even with my scribbles!

does anyone know how big the memory is on the i-mate?

Hmm.. I think the one I'm talking about is an imate but a newer model? It has the keyboard thing.

So do you just write onto the screen? I actually prefer typing to writing. I think I forgotten how to write because I been typing for so many years every day.

Do you just write onto the screen? I've seen the imate jam in size - is it the smallest one available? I did think the keyboard on the pda2k was a bit small and was wondering how people type on it so its good to know that its basically not worth paying for.

Does anyone know if there is anything new that is going to be released in the next few months?

And would the imate be cheaper in the Malaysia than the Middle East?
