The crushed ginger makes a brief appearance, and helps to cut all the sugar, but it’s almost gone by the time we get to the floral notes and they are very nearly as sweet as the opening."

Who is that fragrance made by brother Tay? I would like to try it.

To my understanding Shaykh Muhammad Yaqoubi I could be mistaken... There is also a fragance that Shaykh Yahya Rhodus wears that I smelt yesterday or the day before which also can only be purchased from Mecca and Medina. Quite afew have fallen in love with it. I'll need to confirm the spelling

It's not haram for women to use perfume, but there are limitations. It's forbidden for females to wear perfume outside in the public where other non-mahram men can smell their feminine scent as it can provoke men's desires. However, there is nothing wrong with a female beautifying herself amongst other women and for her husband at home, and is even recommended.

The ruling for women wearing perfume outside comes under the category of observing proper hijab.

The Prophet (saw) said: “If a woman puts on perfume and passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance, then she is such and such,” and he spoke sternly - meaning an adulteress. Narrated by Abu Dawood (4173)

It was narrated that Zaynab, the wife of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood, said: The Messenger of Allaah (saw) said to us: “If one of you attends the mosque, let her not put on perfume.” Narrated by Muslim (443)

If any of the sisters want to buy their husband or brothers a gift, or the brothers want to gift themselves, I really recommend sampling Hugo Boss Bottled Night.

It's advertised as a night fragrance but it's perfectly fine for virtually all occasions.

I liked this fragrance from the get go, but the more I wore it the more I enjoyed it, to the point where it's one of my favourite fragrances.

I won't describe it because I will not do it justice; always best to sample before you buy, but even if you do a blind buy, I'm confident you will be satisfied.

The key to smelling beautiful is not applying perfume; it's all about paying attention to your personal hygiene.

The scents are only icing on the cake.

If you do not pay attention to your hygiene, applying perfume will not solve anything; on the contrary, the beautiful scent will become contaminated.

It's important to wash your hands/face/arms regularly (i.e. for wudhu) because the body produces oils which form a thin layer over the skin and anything you apply will mix with those oils. Individuals have a unique body chemistry which is why scents tend to smell slightly different on other people.

Sending paper letters (personal) is a thing of the past, but some people still use it.

If you wish to captivate the recipient - scent the paper. Choose your scent according to the impression you want to give and one which suits the tone of your letter.

My direct observation and experience has demonstrated it works!

If only my university would send me scented letters for my library fines, I wouldn't be so disappointed!

If anybody is looking for a nice summer fragrance for men, try Versace Man Eau Fraiche. Yet, in my books, nothing surpasses Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani for a summer fragrance. Love it!

Whilst reading my book, I required a bookmark immediately and reached for the closest item which was a bunch of test strips for perfume. I then thought of a somewhat innovative idea; spray your regular bookmark with a nice scent and the more you read, the better your book will smell, enticing you to read more!

That is, of course, if you do not prefer the natural book smell.
