Was able to attend alhamdulillah but missed the beginning portion. Anyway was a good talk on the lines of Shaikh Deedat.
I went there to c
who this ACDC is (thought a new organization),
apart from obviously to listen to the talk and yes cant forget food
but to my surprise they have been their for ages it seems.
A few surprising announcements that i came to hear on the day, which might be of benefit to everyone:
1) there are some brothers running Islamic Stalls (dawaah purpose) in city at the intersection of Bourke & Swanston St on weekends and
At various other locations in melbourne at regular intervals. wud be good to visit sometime (i did and liked the idea, some interesting interactions with aussies
)
2) This was a big shock (in a good sense) that there is a new Islamic Centre going to be started very soon may be this year by Australian Community Dawaah Centre ACDC in western suburb near sunshine/st albans area. It seems this is going to be another base for dawaah in those suburbs where there hasnt been a dawaah centre atleast an active enough.

Alhamdulillah By Allah's Help it was a great success.
For your information it was closed room Dialogue/Debate which means only few selected audience from both sides is permitted with prior notification and booking. It was a 20 on each side thing.
As Allah says in the Quran:
'And say: Truth has come and Falsehood perishes. Surely Falsehood is bound to perish." {Al-Quran 17:81}
The Christian representatives (to our surprise they were three altogether, may be representing trinity) were not able to answer some major questions posed from the muslim side.
A few interesting discussions that took place which drowned the christian side into the weakest position.
1) Christian Question: Why do muslims prostrate with their heads all the way down on earth?
Reply)
Muslim Speaker (MS): ..........(after the main explanation). By the way, even the bible does mention prostration.
Christian Speaker(CS):....................... Yes that was in old testament, more of a Jewish thing.
MS: i have got a verse from the new testament which says "......and he (Jesus) fell on his face and prayed,........." {Mathew 26:39}
CS: (opened the Bible and Read it in the mike, after a bit of pause) Actually Jesus was a jew therefore he must have done.
And the audience laughed like anything
That answer was the limit.
MS: It looks like we muslims are more Christ followers than christians.
2) Is there any mention of Mohammed(s) in the Bible as it speaks a lot about future events and Quran speaks in length about Jesus(pbuh) and his mother with great respect and honour.
CS: No. Well there is nothing. Thats all i can say.
MS: If you read the Bible there are a lot of prophecies of Prophet Mohammed(s) in both old and new testament. One such verse is in Songs of Solomon 5:16 which in hebrew language does mention "Mohammadim"
CS: Well thats new information for us, we will definitely discuss in the future with our Scholars.
The entire church was in a state of shock, you could imagine.
There were other discussions such as
What is the actual name of God, which is Allah as MS mentioned with the verses both from Quran and Bible.
Why Muslim Women stand separate from men in Mosque? (Even the bible commands women while entering the church to cover their heads)
Alhamdulillah after the session, we had atleast 3 out of 20 christians who were very interested in Islam and discussed until we left the premises, may Allah guide them.
They asked us to do a follow up debate with their more knowledgeable Scholar from a church in Werribee. Inshallah in the near future we might be able to organize something in the vicinity of Melbourne at a large scale.
Pray may Allah give strength to muslims on all fronts.

Jzk. Yes Syed Ali Mashallah it was a gud crowd more than what we expected, the masjid authorities informed us that they were around 600 people.
Brother Waseem does regular qutba's across melbourne at various locations (as of now I don't have the roster).
Tomorrow he is delivering khutba at Al-Taqwa masjid. Hope that helps for now.
