It is just to register your details with IREA so that you can be on the contact list, as far as I am aware.

I'm going to try leave work early to attend insha'Allah
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mā'idah: 8)

I was able to attend alhamdulillah. Brother Waseem Razvi is an exceptional speaker Masha'Allah, reminds me of Dr. Zakir Naik.
Just some constructive feedback which will also be directed at the organisers if they don't have a representative here. Overall organisation could have been better planned. The kick off was a little slow, especially with a 15 minute video which was difficult to understand.
Also, the question and answer session could have been coordinated better. My brother suggested that the Christians/ non-Muslims should have been given priority for asking questions, more so because Br. Waseem was the only one allowed to answer them.
Regardless, the organisers did a great job. May Allah reward them and help them host further beneficial events in the future.O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Some fedback, missed out in filling the form, Overall I loved it..8/10
Would have given 10/10 if it started at 6:00 rather than ~6:40. I also said the same thing as taif, the non Muslims should have asked their questions first. I must also say the camera's were just EVERYWHERE! They were so annoying, I understand taking photos of the speakers and the organisers, and even the audience, but constantly places the cameras on the sisters side was a bit frustrating..
Anyway, I'm looking forward the future ones, I think irea has become my fav. group
inshAllah it is mre bigger, better and more successful!

JazakAllahu khayran brother I will pass your feedback to the co-ordinators. Yeah I dont know about the brothers side.. But sometimes it is hard to tell who is muslim or non muslim.. Even when doing registration I went to write non muslim for some women and they said - umm no I am muslim, so I guess the sisters also may have thought some of the non hijaab women were non muslim.. I dont know if it is the same case for the brothers.. But there has got to be a way to combat that inshallah.. Even if it means us asking each person if they are muslim or not - even if it may offend.. Cos you guys are right.. We wanted feedback and questions from Non Muslims. It was about the "SIMILARITIES"and not differences.. and I didnt get the chance to come inside but I did get told that some of the questions were trying to conjure up differences and attack non muslims.. when this was supposed to be an initial meeting trying to establish we have alot of common beliefs.. To establish further dawah.. The debate will be for all those types of questions inshallah.. Allahu Allam

i think we should give irea 12/10 (nobody, dont start questioning my maths), as the reason they waited or delayed was in respect of arrival of all muslim leaders and scholars. its not easy to get all of them at one place and if we have to wait half an hour to get all of them, thats just perfect. anyway next time lets escort the sheikhs and our leaders.

Oh okay, I didn't know you were waiting for the shaykhs. Sorry. But I still don't like when events start later than it should...

Beginning of events shouldn't be delayed for more than 5-10 minutes in any circumstance, especially for large events. Quite frankly, if people are late that's their problem. It's not fair for the people that are sitting in a hot hall waiting or were in a rush to get to the venue on time only to find out it hasn't even started. Some people have tight agendas and have to be at a certain place at a certain time.
Also, if you have this policy of waiting for people, next time those who came on time will come late as well because they will assume the lecture hasn't started. It will become a trend.
Just something to keep in mind for next time insha'Allah...O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mā'idah: 8)
