Nah the only thing that'll happen with most old teas is that they'll lose the flavor with time, if they aren't the kind that gets better with age.

Thing is though, it could cause stomach upset if you drink it on an empty stomach. Plus it does speed up the nervous system, which might simulate something like diarrhea but I can't say for certain. In our countries though they do have that specific laxative chamomile tea they usually give to kids. I remember distinctly when I was around 8 or 9 years old I made some on my own, not knowing what it was, and I had a bad experience. My mom and grandma laughed and laughed at my plight, and I was offended.

Well...I had tea last night, and it tasted off, it was disgusting, it was like it was overdue or something, i just had about 2 sips, after a while it gave me a bad stomach ache and i still feel sick from it right now and copped a bit of a migraine with it too..so thats why im thinking could it be from the tea or theres something wrong with me :s i was okay during the day, it was only when i had the tea that i felt awfully sick.

Fatoum - why does your tea bags taste weird cuz??

I always have to go and swear affidavits etc, part of my work that i do, i dont swear though, I affirm, because the place where i need to go and swear affidavits dont have the quran, so i just always affirm instead. One time, there was a different man whom i had to affirm an affidavit in front of, and he asked me whether i was affirming of swearig and i said that i'm affirming. And then he looked at me and it looked like he was thinking about something for like a minute and then he said to me if i wanted to swear on the bible i could, because 'apparently' the first few chapters of the bible, is the same thing just like the quran, and said that i could still swear on the bible cause it would be teh same thing as swearing on teh quran. I'm like errrrrrr no thanks, i prefer to affirm, im a muslim and i will only swear on teh quran if there is one. He kept insisting i swear on the bible, and i told him more firmly NOO!! lol

If i did end up swearing on the bible, not because i believe in it or anything, would i have committed shirk?

It is not permissable to put your hand on the Bible when making an oath because the Bible is corrupted and contains polytheism. Muslims also have to acknowledge the precedence of the latest prophet, Muhammed , over all the propphets that came before him; Muhammed is the prophet of our time.

Ruling on placing one’s hand on the Bible when swearing

    Praise be to Allaah.

It is not permissible for a Muslim to swear by anything except Allaah, may He be exalted, alone, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever swears an oath, let him swear by Allaah, or else keep silent.”

It is not essential for a person swearing an oath to put his hand on the Mus-haf (copy of the Qur’an) for the oath to be valid, but some people do this to make the oath more binding, so that the person swearing the oath will be afraid to tell lies.

It is not permissible for the Muslim to put his hand on the Tawraat or Injeel when swearing an oath, because the copies in circulation are distorted, and are not the original Books that were revealed to Moosa and ‘Eesaa (peace be upon them); and because the Message with which Allaah sent His Prophet Muhammad abrogates the messages that came before.

If the system in a country that is not ruled by Islamic law requires the person swearing an oath to put his hand on the Tawraat or Injeel, or both, then the Muslim should ask the court to let him swear by Allaah, may He be exalted. There is nothing wrong with him putting his hand on the Holy Qur’aan, which is the Word of Allaah and is therefore one of His attributes. If they do not allow him this request, and he is forced to swear by the Tawraat or Injeel, then this is considered to be compulsion, and there is no sin on him if he puts his hand on one or both of them, so long as he does not intend to show respect to them by doing so. And Allaah knows best.

Sis how long has it been since you put through the application? And what sort of application did you put through? Prospective Marriage Visa or Marriage Visa? Because Prospective can take longer (I did the prospective with my husband) and when there is conflict in the country they can take longer to process applications, you have to keep calling them. The security check should be something that is done 'with' the rest of the application it isn't like you do the application and at the end there is a security check, was he in the army or anything like that, sometimes takes longer if they were? Anyway best bet is to call them and hound them a little, tell them its been X-Months and set a date for your wedding, so say how can we organise and pull off the wedding on X-Potential-Date when you wont confirm when he is coming. Badger them, you always have to badger them, they are only as interested as you are.

^Its been 7 months and a bit, and we applied for the Prospective marriage.

The immigration called my fiancé and interviewed for the second time, and she told him that everything is fine, theres nothing wrong, and shes now gonna send his application to the immigration in Australia for a security check and as soon as they get back to them, they will call my fiancé straight away and let him know whether he’s got the visa or not, but she didn’t specify how long ti could take. She said it might take a few days who knows. He hasn’t been in the army or anything, and he doesn’t have any sort of police record, according to my fiancé.

Do you have the security check number thingy or know where I can get it from?? And when do I call?

That depends on your service provider and/or manufacturer and the nature of the fault; they'll be able to advise you

I heard yesterday that all duas of the mazloumen (opressed) are accepted inshalla which I know already. But I wash also told that even the non-believers who are opressed, their duas also get accepted. Is this information correct?

Who are the "non-believers" calling upon to answer their du'a?

Who do they pray to when they make du'a? I have heard Christians praying to Jesus.

Many Christians pray to Jesus rather than God/Allah:

Yeah I know that, but I was told that Allah accepts their prayers, cause they've been oppressed. But I guess thats not true, is it

I think it is true, it is just that they do pray to God often. When one is oppressed, I really doubt they will pray to Jesus. They do these foolish things out of habit, but put one of them in a pinch, he, like any mushrik, mulhid, atheist, what have you, he will know God, and he will ask Him. Of course, when He saves them, they go back to their old ways.

I dont mean to question what Allah swt does, but I was just thinking, if Allah knows they will go back to their old ways, why accept their dua?
