I have this theory that the right scent can sway the mood of a person.

lol, well my current test on myself seems to be working. A balanced blend of amber, musk and sandalwood at this time of the night has mesmerised me.

lol i have! I went to aromatherapy courses, and havent been the same since. I've tried so many different essential oils in an oil burner, and i found most of them do work (for me)! Perhaps its just a psychological affect. A few of my friends had tried some, and it didnt work for them

I've only intentionally used the lavender on my husband, he used to have a lot of trouble going to sleep, so i gave it a go - now its me that cant sleep from his snoring

Hehe, I'm not a big fan of lavender, but it's beautiful in its own way.

I have a whole range of oils, solid perfume and incense that I use accordingly subject to weather and my mood - it does have an effect.

I would imagine it's not that easy on a raging spouse though

While we're on the topic, if anybody is looking for a good face cleanser, use rose water. It's a natural tonic and does wonders to your skin. Make sure you get 100% pure distilled though, not the cheap stuff. I have a bottle of Rose Damascena by Rosense which is great.

As for rose oil, you can't go past pure Wardh Taifi (Taif rose), very expensive though

Where can I get 100% pure distilled though? Highly doubt the one I use is 100%.

Also with the perfume thing At Taif, did you mean to apply to yourself so your spouse can smell it or applying on your spouse when they're upset? I thought you meant the former but got confused when others assumed the latter.

Yeah, plus many scents burn when they hit the face. I mean it's just weird to spray someone angry with something good smelling, they'll either kick the thing out of your hand with a muay thai type kick or do a piccolo face blast from dbz as they scream.

I would definitely not try it on a spouse, especially since in those circumstances the woman would have to be angry to begin with, which is usually bad enough on its own without spraying volatile flammable substances like perfumes in the fire.

In fact, come to think of it, spraying just about anything on an angry person can only make matters worse, since spraying someone with something even in normal circumstances always has potential to go bad. I mean water, the most harmless substance out there, you spray a person in a normal state of mind with it and you really have no guarantees what their reaction will be.

I would say of course not since what shia are on is not true Islam, and while we don't call them kuffar outright, they have a lot in their religion that constitutes as shirk (praying to Ali (r. a)) as well as kufr (reviling sahaba like Abu Bakr and Omar (r. a)), so as such it would be a very bad move on the part of this girl's guardians to let her marry a raafidi since ideally guardians should choose good partners for their daughter.

It's said that not all shiites do the above two things, but then I don't know why those are called shiites. Either way, if the person is deviant in any way it's best to be wary, since the girl is prone to influence from her spouse.

I was expecting this question. I havn't really come across quality rose water in Australia except a few online websites (to which I can't attest to their quality). The bottle I have was a gift from my uncle and is made in Turkey. I was actually considering importing and selling it here, not so much for profit but more as a hobby. If I do get some I will let you know insha'Allah.

One thing I've realised though is that the rose water is always cool even in hot climate.

lol FW, talk about taking things out of proportion! Where did spraying toxic substances on their face come from?!

Humour aside, ideally you would use natural-essential oils, not synthetic toxic stuff.

There are many things you can do, scent yourself, burn some incense in your bedroom, sprinkle rose petals on your bed

If your spouse is receptive to these scents and stuff, then surely it would calm him/her down to some extent. I think it would be more applicable to females because of their femininity.
