I translated the following article: Israel Larang Azan di Alquds (Saturday, 30 April 2011) from:

Israel forbids Adhan in Al Quds (Jerusalem)

Having completed doctoral studies at the University of Sudan, Dr. Ismail Abu Abdullah Jarbu ' is amongst those with a rare expertise in his country. Dr Abdullah is now serving as an assistant Deputy Minister of Endowments and Religious Relations in Palestine controlling areas of constitutional law. In his visit to to
Republika, on Thursday (28 / 4), the assistant professor of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Islamic University of Gaza, was to explain the reconciliation agreement reached by Hamas-Fatah in Cairo, Egypt, a day earlier. He is a man born in Gaza 45 years ago and he also reveals the latest conditions in Gaza. Here are his quotes:

Is it true that Israel has banned the airing of adhan from Al Quds?

True. The decision of Israel, issued on Wednesday (27/4), is to ban the call to prayer by means of loudspeakers in Al Quds. The Israeli government argued, that the call to prayer by means of
loudspeakers disturbs the people in Alquds.

Islamic relics are being dismantled. Israel has also created a tunnel under the Aqsa Mosque. So, the construction of Jewish settlements and the Israeli judaization of Al Quds continues onward.

What is the format for judaization in Al Quds?

The Judaization consists of confiscating the identification cards (KTP) of residents in the City of Al Quds. ID cards are all taken. Secondly, tombs of Muslim heritage, including the tomb of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad  are being dismantled. Thirdly, mosques that are ancient relics of the Muslims are being torn down. Palestinian houses are also being destroyed. Itís all part of the judaization of Al Quds.

What is the attitude of the Palestinian Authority's call to prayer ban?

The Islamic world cannot do anything, are incapable of doing anything, they are over a barrel. To deal with all that, we just hope that the inhabitants of Jerusalem still survive, and are not exited from Al Quds.
As a result of that, the strength of the Muslim pressure on Israel is still weak. If moves are made against this, it is pessimism that succeeds.

How about the banning of prayer in congregation in Al Quds?

Israel also prohibits the youth from praying in congregation at Al Quds. Only those who are aged 50 years and over and 15 years and under are allowed to pray in congregation at the mosque. They are allowed, because within that age group they no longer have the strength to provide resistance, such as throwing stones at the Israeli military.

Israel wants to demolish Al Aqsa Mosque? Really?

True. Israel endeavours to tear down the mosque from above and from below. From below, Israel has created a tunnel that is deliberately made to accommodate the ruins of the mosque. While from above, Israel is trying to knock down Al Aqsa Mosque little by little. Every day, Israel sends F16 jets over Al Aqsa Mosque. Once the jets are close to the dome, the planes swoop down in their approach to the dome, and then immediately ascend to get away.
Due to the consequences (maneuver) of these jets, there is a powerful shock upon the structure of the mosque building. The walls are cracked. In fact, the sound of jets can be heard up to 40 kilometres (25 miles) away. Over the course of time, due to (the maneuvers of the) Israeli jets the mosque will collapse.
In Surah al-Israa '(17): (ayah) 1 it is mentioned, Allah has blessed all around Al Aqsa Mosque. Dr Abdallah said the land in Gaza is very fertile. Various plants can grow, even out of the ordinary. A single watermelon in Gaza can be as heavy as 20 kilograms, and tomatoes can be 0.5 kilogram. Rambutan and klengkeng also grow there. "The land is very fertile," said Abdallah.

How is the current situation in Gaza and the West Bank?

In principle, Hamas and Fatah have agreed to reconciliation. Hamas considers this a good thing. The reconciliation is for Palestinian unity. Hamas and Fatah are part of Palestine. For that reason, they must unite and jointly deal with Israel.

Why is a new reconciliation happening now?

Once there was agreement in Mecca, but it failed. The reason, the mediators were not pure (in intention). The Mecca agreement was mediated by Mubarak (Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian president who stepped down by the power of the Red masses) from Egypt. Now that Mubarak's regime collapsed, there will be changes.
In the past, Fatah in the West Bank were not free to decide policy. Fatah was dependent upon what the United States and Israel said. Now Egypt has changed. Revolution also is happening in the Middle East. This makes the West Bank more willing, even eager to follow reconciliation.

How about the Israeli response to this?

Israel did not approve of this reconciliation. Prime minister (Benjamin Netanyahu) immediately said to Fatah to choose peace with Israel or with Hamas.

    What encouraged this reconciliation?

Changes in the Middle East, and also changes amongst the Palestinians. For example, Palestinian unity is important. Hamas supports this and hopes that as soon as possible there will be Palestinian unity.
Secondly, the Palestinian people want to express the suffering they have (and are) experienced. This suffering must end immediately.
Thirdly, they wait for the new government in Egypt. Hopefully, with the new breath, and a new approach in Egypt, it will impact change for the others. Change in Egypt to influence the Arab League and the Muslims worldwide.

What brought about the debate between Hamas and Fatah?

Firstly, the restructuring of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) - which was founded by Yasser Arafat. Secondly, the restructuring of the Palestinian National Council. Thirdly, the restructuring of security forces in a professional manner.
Fourthly, the release of all political prisoners. Fifthly, the implementation of elections. What is the future presidential or parliamentary form of this Palestinian state? As for Hamas they want one and one: its own president, and parliament itself.
During this time, those who served were not professional. As long as they know the other officials, they will be appointed, even when they are inexpert. That must change, they must recruit people who really are competent.

If you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. His reply to you is gauranteed; but in the way He chooses, not the way you choose, and at the moment He desires, not the moment you desire.
