We use to have more beneficial threads going on here. Nowadays there's more debating..

So who'd like to start off? Each sahabah is amazing in their own ways but I'm sure we have a specific one that inspires us the most.

If you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. His reply to you is gauranteed; but in the way He chooses, not the way you choose, and at the moment He desires, not the moment you desire.

Musab Ibn Umayr may Allah have mercy on his soul is one sahabah that has touched me mashaAllah. How he was prior to Islaam, how he use to dress, the materialistic items he posessed, how wealthy he was etc.. He left it all behind coz he found something greater. How he fought in the battle of Uhud loosing his limbs; arms and it did not stop him from holding the flag (forgot the Arabic word for it) Allahu akbar. When it was time for them to shroud his body, he didn't have anything left to cover him, he gave everything fee sabilillah. When they covered his feet his head would show and when they covered his head his feet would show they have beaten us in so many ways may Allah forgive us.

Another favorite atm is, Umm Sulaim, she's the one that put her children to sleep coz they only had food to feed their guest the prophet sent. She's the one that pretended to adjust the lighting of the candle but blew it out on purpose and sat down with her husband Abu Talha and their guests and pretended to eat. What a saliheen role model mashaAllah. I just love her story and wisdom in her approaches. Her biography is pretty long but soo worth the read!

lol.. It wasn't a debate/argument, I just thought I'd correct the point as I hear it often.

I love the story of Ka'b ibn Malik and what he went through and and how he dealt with his situation.
