We all seem to forget that looks are only skin-deep
How senseless is this, attracting nothing but the creeps
Shaitaan's waswas and pressure taking the form of our peeps
I'm shackled, I'm chained
My mind has been poisoned, my heart hardened
Is there a way to return, even thou I am left stained?
O dear sister, turn to Allah
Raise your hands high and glorify
Our Lord Allah surely does not turn a blind-eye
Come closer to the Deen
I know it may seem that dunya is reality
But it is a mere dream
Wake up dear sister, do not delay hijab
Take that step, put on jilbab
Have trust in Allah, and take that step
Pray your daily prayers
Do not be afraid of the stares
Fulfil your covenant to Allah and you shall be a promised heir
Jannah a final abode without a worry or care
So dear sister, I leave you with this
A few words of wisdom
To give you strength and hope
To one day see your Lord's Kingdom

Masha'Allah beautiful sister
When Allah tests you, it is never intended to destroy you.
When He removes something in your possession,
it is only in order to empty your hands for an even greater gift."

Once a land so prosperous and green
But now feels like just a dream
Affliction and suffering, but we remain true to this Deen
An unwelcome guest
Militia and regime grow in their quest
Our bodies grow weak but our hearts will not let us rest
Surely the righteous will be victorious in this test
They claim liberation
But how could this be
They came and humiliated
Set up borders, separated
Divide and conquer, peace and justice annihilated
Oppression has become our daily routine
Our voice censored, hidden behind a screen
Trapped in this prison, nothing but these four walls and our screams
You claim liberation
I will speak out without hesitation
I oppose your evil dictation
Have you no fear of your final destination?
My trust in my Lord keeps me strong and unified
He hears my prayers and sees all the tears that I have cried
I will step forward, for He is by my side
O Muslimeen, why do we remain so blind
Oblivious to the pain and suffering of mother Palestine
O Iraq, your blood has been shed for the last time
A land once so beautiful and sublime
O Afghanistan, you deserve to be heard
May your liberation arise with the fall of their evil occupation
Ameen!"Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?."
Quran, surah al-Rahman, ayah 13

Well I'll be darned! If it isn't 'ol Linda! Nice to see you posting again.
That second poem is a tear jerker mashaAllahWhoever remembers death often will find a small amount (of worldly things) sufficient for him; and whoever includes his speech in his deeds will speak little.
Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful. (Surat al Isra': 27)

Your poetry is not sloppy dear sister... TabarakAllah you are doing well and I encourage you to keep developing your skills inshallah to get even better. Remember to try and keep your intention sincerely for the Sake of Allah for indeed Allah has given you something that He may be testing you with.
As for being talented, far from it, believe me, anyone can write and my tongue has become sandpaper from how many times I've said this to people, the difference between a good poem and a bad poem is if its written from the heart or not. Your heart controls your quill when you write, your mind just keeps it pumping...
Keep it up and may Allah preserve you.
Wasalam 'Alaykuum Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Barakatu.

For sixty long years I've been stripped of my rights
There is no peace as rockets and gunfire fill up the nights
We keep to our own and try to remain out of sight
I'm confused by all this menace
Why am I labelled as the terrorist
You've killed our loved ones and have forced us to live as peasants
But you insist on giving the truth a twist
My daughter cries out from hunger
My son cries out from fear
O how crushing this all is, my eyes swell with tears
But where is the mercy, can none of you hear
Surely the whole world has not turned blind
How our hearts ache for a land that was once so kind
Before they occupied and put all justice behind
Burning my grandfathers olive groves without remorse of any kind
How many more must lay motionless in the streets
Without Israel brushing it underneath there feet
How many more children must be orphaned
Will it not even act as a deterrent for all the deceit
How many more must be falsely imprisoned
Certainly this is not the justice we envisioned
How many more must live in constant fear
From your soldiers lurking far and near
How many more of my brethren will be branded as terrorists
While my tyrants slyly claim to act in self defense
Armed with nothing but these stones
As our homes are showered in bullet shells
Forced to comprise what's already ours
These borders and checkpoints greet our father
Old and frail but they don't falter
In their mission of greed and manslaughter
We pray to one day wake free
To walk wherever we please
Sending peace to all, salaam ya salaam
We all ask for such a day
But for now it is just a visualization
Giving me hope to face another day
As the veil is lifted before my supplication"Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?."
Quran, surah al-Rahman, ayah 13

A land so blessed to home an orphan child
A merchant trusted across the Arabian land
A loving husband so warm and sincere
A noble fine character for all to require
Rejecter of these gods of stone
Along with his dear friend Abdul Kaabah
Merely rock unable to answer
A man far too wise for such ignorant lies
Here comes Ramadhan
He farewells his beloved Khadijah
Time to escape ignorance and meditate
Alone in the cave except for Jibreel
Recite! But I am unlettered
Recite! But I am unlettered
Recite! In the name of thy Lord...
Fear seized this wise and noble man
Glorious is Jibreel alaihi assalam filling up every horizon
Shocked by this and fleeing to his beloved
Zamilooni, cover me was his only request
A light sent to all mankind
His shining face for all to see
So humble and pious
His black turban covers his mubarak hair, neither straight nor curly
His walk as thou he was ascending
Al Amin how trusted was he
These idol worshippers reject and detest
Ignorant customs they do not want to abandon
Burying their daughters and marrying their stepmothers
Wanting to remain in darkness so far from the light
Abu Lahub would reject his nephew
Wa imra'atuhu scattering thorns outside the blessed doorstep
Their hatred for this mercy
Unaware Allah has prepared their chastisement
A warning for the hardened heart
Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Only a young boy but already so keen
Performing the first hajj with our beloved Rasool
Abdul Kaabah now Abdallah
The first free believing man
He did not falter, all too eager to embrace Tauhid
Glory be to Allah so blessed by this guidance
The first Prophet sent amongst the Arabs
His message not exclusive to a nation but for all to hear
The campaigns would begin
Driven by hate for a message so pure
Torture inflicted upon the best of our Ummah
Green birds now flying over our Lord's throne
Exiled from the land leaving their homes belongings and families
Left in the desert for dead but stayed true to the light of Islam
Revelations descending to give them firm trust in Allah
Their rise would come
Succession would prevail
For truly truth stands clear from error
Welcomed by the Ansar with open arms
Their brethren in faith
United under La illaha illa Allah
The conquest of Makkah
At long last the Muslimeen have their beloved Hajj
The idolators now ashamed
Flocking to Islam in large crowds
Their hearts find peace from the days of jaahiliyah
His message would not end their
It had to be shared
Letters sent out to far away rulers
Each stamped with the seal of the prophethood
Caravans would come
Arabs from far to pledge their faith in Allah
Respecting the prophet, their love so firm
Sleeping outside his doorstep
Wanting to accompany his every footstep
when torture struck the believers, they were relieved it was them and not him
As the munafiqn cowered and ran away
Mohammad, salAllahu alaihi wasallam
Meaning the praised one
Even the kuffar would praise him when speaking his name
The Christians prophesied his coming
The Jews secretly excepted his status but would not follow
But he remained patience
Even with the people of Taif
Bilal's voice would fill the land
Come to prayer, come to success
O how far this Deen had spread
The Muslims were led in hajj
The greatest hajj ever to be led
The Rasool and ahal al bayt
The noble companions the greatest of believers
The ones who suffered the most
Fought to reach where they now stood
The farewell sermon gripped the father of the camel in tears
The fever would strike twice as severe
Aisha would recite and rub the Mubarak hands of the nabi over his ill body
His young wife, so loving and strong
Wanting shifaa but the Rasool wanted to meet Allah
The Shepard had left his flock
But his light has not demised
Carried on by the noble caliphs
Their mission to spread the message to all the lands
The conquest of Iraq and Iran
The compilation of the noble Quran
Men of quality so brave and strong
Ali RA Saiff Allah carrying truth wherever he went
Omar RA firm in the Haqq chasing Shaitaan from his path
Muslims mentored by the greatest man
Our beloved nabi, salam alayk ya Rasool Allah
Striving to see his shining face
To drink from his mubarak hands
For he will intercede for the humble servants of Allah
follow his example and perfect good manners
Ask Allah the All Highest May we be united in Jannah with Ahmad salAllahu alaihi wasallam, Khalil Allah
Ameen

The Farewell
A tender touch, a warm embrace
Our heartbeats in sync, our fingers intwined
My head laid across his chest
His beard brushes my face
His strong arms hold me tight
I find peace. I am content
He strokes my cheek
I take his hand
A soft kiss and I place it over my heart
Words are not needed
He completely understood
My heart was his and he would feel the same
Bahebik he coons
Ana bahebuk I reply
My breath deepens and my eyes begin to close
All I can hear is the drumming of his heart
The warmth of his breath
The strength of his arms pulling me in close
The morning sun filters into my room
I arise to find noone by my side
My tears spill uncontrollably now
Oh how real it had felt
His love and warmth had left me without a doubt
I stand by the window and peer outside
My eyes follow the same path he once had taken
The day my beloved decided he had to leave
To take up arms and honour the Deen
Turning back only once
I can never forget
His face so happy and bright
His smile so real, his hand pressed to his chest
Reassuring me his heart would never part from mine
My head drops as the tears pool
A memory is all I cling to
I close my eyes and clutch my chest
He remains right there by my side
The pain is great yet I bare to smile
Proud of his bravery to answer the call of Jihad
I pray to be reunited with him
To be soothed by the rhythmic beat of his heart
Once the battle is won and the swords are put to rest
Once he meets his Lord rewarded with the best
I sit awaiting my turn
For I too shall take rest
The day shall come when the Angels will greet my soul
The day when I will be wrapped in white and my body will be put to rest
The day when my honoured Saheed will be united with his obedient wife
That day will come but for now I wait"Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?."
Quran, surah al-Rahman, ayah 13

Alhamdulilah
Her head held high
Such grace in her stride
A warm smile adorns her face
Purity lights her eyes
Content with her Lord
His commands she cherishes
The Deen a crown she wears
Proud to submit herself five times a day
Humbled she stands before Allah
Purified minor sins washed away
Bowing down in gratitude
Praising and glorifying the most High
Her heart yearns for the departure
In this very position of humbleness and submission
Her supplication is heard
Such honesty in her plea
Selflessness from beginning to end
She whispers Ameen as tears wash over her face
The Angels reply 'Ameen, and for you too'
Thankful to Rabb Al Alameen
To Al Razzaq who provides her wealth
To Al Rahman who grants her ease
To As Salam who gives her peaceful nights
To Al Musawwir who allows her to see the beauty He has shaped
To Al Gaffar who cloaks her shame
To Al Mu'min who has blessed who her with the guidance of Islam
A generous Lord
His provisions vast
Deserving of all the praise
To be remembered throughout the day
And throughout the night
To be thanked for His countless blessings
Alhamdulilah"Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?."

We have entered a time
Where deviancy is rampant
Where truth is falsified
And lies are glorified
The Ummah has been shattered
The message stepped upon
The Quran abandoned
As it sits unopened upon our shelves
The Sunnah is forgotten
remembered only as calligraphy adorning our walls
There are those whom have been consumed by ignorance
Word of mouth enveloping their minds
Their leaders preach hate
As the followers loyally implement
They curse and mock
Lies they spread about the just
Such as one who it is incumbent to love
Abdullah Abu Bakr Ibn Uthman
Let's step back and analyze
Leaving preconceived notions at the door
Open your mind, open your soul
Question yourself- is this not a man to adore?
His father would name him Abdul'kabah
The first house of worship built by our father Adam or maybe Ibrahim Khalil Allah
A place of tawheed to praise the Highest
But now mushrikin left it distorted
Adorned with gods of stone, creation of the creation
But the boy would not bow
Never having sipped khamar
Never having prostrated to lies
A dear friend and companion
Now named Abdullah As-Siddiq
The first believer amongst the free men
A humble servant to the One true God
Having no fear to proclaim his faith
The brutality would strike
The attacks would fall
Yet he stood firm in la illaha illa Allah
His wealth sacrificed
His health utilized fisabilillah
A man who gave his all for the message to grow
Who would stop at nothing to defend the honour of deen Al Islam
His love for Muhamad, salat w Salam alayh, was great
His loyalty unwavering
A gentle soul to the believers
A fierce commander against the apostates
The first appointed caliph would lead the best of Muslims
All pledging their allegiance
Still full of humility and humbleness
Even continuing to milk the goats
His rest would come
Buried beside his beloved Rasool, brother in Islam
Peace at last
As he was blessed with the glad tidings of his Lords Paradise
His imaan outweighs that of this entire Ummah
A special entrance he will have to Allah's Jannah
The angels inviting him from every gate
So how can any stand to hate such a man
Whose piety should put most to shame
We ask Allah to be pleased with him
And to keep our love for him and the Sahabah strong
As we will be gathered with those whom we love
And who better to love then the most righteous of Muslimeen"Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?."
Quran, surah al-Rahman, ayah 13

The first stanza is my favourite...
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mā'idah: 8)
