Can anyone suggest an exercise regime, a rough one for every day of the week? This is for weightloss. I'll be doing bootcamp InshaAllah on Tuesdays, but how else can I mix things up? I also have exercise videos which i plan to use as well. I cant get to the gym at the moment, so thats something to take into consideration too.

Can't really recommend anything but I think that a good diet is more important than exercise when it comes to weight loss. It's a lot easier to skip out on eating a slice (or two) of cake than burning it off later. At the end of the day the key to weight loss is having a calorie deficiency. To lose weight, calorie intake per day should be less than the amount of calories exerted. A lot of people, when they begin to exercise, make the mistake of thinking they can eat more because they're burning off the calories which, at the end of the day, could actually be counter-productive.
Anyway, if you have an Android, I recommend to look into Noom. It's a pretty nifty app."Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers." - Hadith

Weight Loss is approx 70% diet, 30% exercise. And consistency is key. I recommend try walking for an hour everyday at the beginning just to get you moving and in a good routine. You can take bubba in the pram too.
Don't overwhelm yourself with too much at the beginning cos it could put you off, just go at your own pace and don't overly exert yourself all at once. Once you get fitter and stronger mix it up and start adding more elements to your program and more difficult routines.
Anyway Najah, at bootcamp you will learn how to use your surroundings to create a workout routine from your own backyard. Also ask Joanne on Tuesday what she thinks are good areas to work on for your individual fitness goals inshaallah. The Biggest Enemy of Islam is Ignorance.

Try focusing on portion size and what you eat. Simple changes to diet, like reducing the amount of "white' we eat (rice, potatoes and bread) and increasing the amount of fibre we eat (vegetables and fruit) and eating one small portion of protein with each meal (eg skinless chicken, handful nuts, fish, lean red meat.. and only small portions of each) help alot.
You can often feel full all day and still lose weight by making choices (like leave the chocolate and eat extra fruit or yoghurt and keep the chocolate for an occasional treat. . most good food plans include treats like chocolate.. they suggest you adjust what you eat and how much you eat they don't advocate major dietry changes since most people can't stick to them. They use what we usually eat rather than special foods that really we won't eat after we lose weight).
Track what you eat each day by writing it down. Add an hour of exercise a day and you will lose lots of weight. .. insha'Allah

Isnt it for new members only? I cancelled my membership a few months ago with them. don't know if they'll let me in again. If I can id love to go with you, if I can get motivated to go back to the gym that would be great.

I am sure they could be.. if you all come with me I am sure that would help. Najah just tell them you are wanting to test the waters again before committing yourself. I know they are on a membership drive.. they gave me four weeks free access when I re commenced my old plan.. plus promised a few other helps to make it affordable whilst I am overseas. Oh and there is currently no registration fees.. if you do decide to join.
I love the gym.. the new owner has plans to put in a women's hair and beauty area in the back and also a cafe in the front.. some great innovations. She refurbished the kitchen recently and is installing new equipment so it's getting a nice face lift.
It's more a social club now with gym mixed in.. great for emotional, physical and social well being. Love it! All gyms are good for that reason and whichever you choose.. it's good to know (for me anyway) that my body will hopefully speak for me and not against me when we have to give account. I like what Fatima said.. it's a good way to balance your life.

A tip for choc lovers who are trying to cut down. buy the mini mars or whatever bars, and freeze them. That way when you have ONE it lasts a long time (usually the duration of a cuppa) but you feel like you've had a treat
When Allah tests you, it is never intended to destroy you.
When He removes something in your possession,
it is only in order to empty your hands for an even greater gift."
