I will share my dieting experience.. I was always around 90-95 kgs with very little body fat due to boxing & gym. Then got married & before I knew it I was 119kgs!!!
I have a slow motabolism so this is my way to loose weight & I lost 29 kgs over 3 months without ANY exercise & working in an office environment.
Breakfast 6am: 2 vita Brits with honey & milk
Mid lunch 9.30am: sandwich, bottle water, strawberry yoghurt, musili bar & banana
Lunch: 12.30: usually left over food my wife cooked the night before, which is Turkish & quite fatty
Snack: 3-4pm: musili bar, banana, an egg, etc
Dinner:6pm always Turkish (so rice always) but small portion
Snack: 8pm small bowl of cereal.
It's not the perfect diet & lunch/dinner always varies, but it's hard to stick to most of the diets with set foods. What really helps me with this diet is small portions regularly which keeps my motabolism working and helps burn my food quicker.
And more importantly is patience, loosing 2.5kgs per week is not much but is alot healthier that loosing 5-10 per week.

Yes it's a bit of food, but I am eating the same amount as the average man of similar size does in his 2-3 meals per day just spread over 6 seperate meals. Instead of overloading our bodies with big meals with large breaks in between eat small meals much closer together to keep the metabolism constantly running.
It's like breaking our fast with dates & water, It starts the metabolism instead of overloading our bodies with a whole heap of food.

Recipe: Yoghurt with Honey Drizzled Coconut Muesli:
This is a short recipe for a healthy snack for after workout to get some carbs into you to help promote muscle repair. I like it, don't know if others would:
This is one I made earlier - yes I know bodgy layout - I'm not a chef:
Ingredients:
- Fat free fruit yoghurt (strawberry Volia is my choice - I would suggest using a sweeter yoghurt for those who don't like the sourness/acidity of strawberry yoghurt).
- Toasted muesli with coconut
- Organic Honey
Method:
1) Place a generous handful of muesli in a small bowl and drizzle some honey on top of it (about a teaspoon).
2) Mix the muesli with the honey.
3) Pour some fruit yoghurt into a cup leaving enough room at the top to place the muesli.
4) Place the muesli and honey mixture on top of the yoghurt in the cup.
5) Drizzle some honey on top of the muesli in the cup. Enjoy!
Tip: Mix the topping and yoghurt together when eating so that you get both the muesli and yoghurt in every spoonful you eat.

That looks nice, not bad plating up either.
My snacks dont get that exciting...I pretty much either have a small piece of fruit, some low fat yogurt or almonds, if I want to treat myself I like those nut bars with honey (the natural kind) or a protein smoothie but thats about it...any other suggestions for quick and easy (healthy) snacks? The Biggest Enemy of Islam is Ignorance.

Mashallah u were impressive today sis.
I haven't skipped for years! I like the fit ball though. Joanne suggested I get one, and suggested sams warehouse but I don't want to go that far.
Which shop sell them for a reasonable price, anyone know?

Najah you should be able to buy them in most places, kmart and big w etc should have them, and for a cheaper one maybe even the reject shop or something, but if you want a really good durable one just go to rebel sport or any other sporting shop and they definately have them but are probably more expensive.

Tried the Warm Tandoori chicken salad at burger edge yesterday and I gotta say its was delicious and very healthy, only downside was that they packed the red onion (which I love) but left me with killer breath so I had to mask it with an equally powerful gum. Anyway great idea for a quick lunch.
Apparently they also turn any of the burgers into a salad if you dont want the bread (ideal for low carb dieters).

Najah......... Kmart has a really big range of them in all sizes. Stick with the big one though.. they are the best. They are not expensive. I got mine from Campbellfield. They are so versatile. Great Computer chair to engage your abs and build core strength

Is exercising at night/early morning bad for your body?
because I have two lil monsters I can't do much exercise in the day with study, cleaning, cooking, etc
So I do 1 hr of exercise every night once they go to bed... some days A.Malik wont go to bed till 1am so I'll do the exercise around 1-2am
