Subs that should be illegal. Ridiculous. But sadly common in some communities.

Honestly, not to be offensive but is it some kind of lebo thing to think that kids doing adult type things is cute? I've seen people posting photos of their kids with a cigarette in their mouth (little kids not teenagers), swearing, doing rude gestures etc.. and it's like 'aww how cute'.
Al-Hasan al-Basri said of hypocrisy: No one fears it but a believer, and no one feels safe from it but a hypocrite.

It's a case of Islamic values being polluted. The Prophetis it some kind of lebo thing
has said that the best youth are those who imitate the old and the worst old people are those who try to act like they're young. It applies in matters of Islamic knowledge, practice and adab. It's a noble thing in Muslim & Arab culture for the kids, sons specially, to learn the ways of the father early on in life, but of course it applies to things like Islamic knowledge and practice and I guess his trade and business stuff (not applicable in these times, as a lot of us work in different jobs than our parents and don't have family owned small enterprises).
The modern Arabs have extrapolated that to apply to "anything adult that the kids do is cool" and awesome, and that involves swearing, smoking, picking fights, showing the finger, smoking argileh, and so on.
Even with some European & a few other cultures, this stuff is seen as cool, at least by the fathers, specially in families where Islamic knowledge takes a back seat and they're more proud of their culture, what ever it may be.

Actually, it's bad with the girls and women too, and here it's not just Arabs, but quite a few cultures, Pakistanis, Indians, Turks, Indonesians, etc.
It's sick when mothers dress their little girls up like sluts and slap on half a kilo of make up on them. (I use the word 'slut' deliberately, so that the mothers read it and feel disgusted and realise the seriousness of what they do). It's one thing to just apply some light lipstick and some light foundation for a random little girls tea-party or Eid party, because she wants to feel a little like mum, but when women dress their girls up in minis and throw dark lipstick on their faces, let them grow their nails ugly, get them painted with gothic colored nail polishes and so on, only to go to the mall, or worse yet Islamic classes and iftar parties at the community centers, there's something seriously wrong with those mothers, and really they have no reason to kick up a stink when that daughter turns 15 and carries on with the same thing.

Singapore: oppresses Muslims, bans athaan, bans hijab in schools, prevents building of madrassahs or muslim schools, puts limit on the percentage of Muslims allowed in each apartment building, and bans Muslims from joining Singapore's elite military forces. Singapore; Israel's best buddy!

I remember a friend in high school telling me that there are more germs under finger nails than there are on a toilet seat. Eukh!

Naj I hate when that happens. It happened with a top I bought once - it must have fallen out getting into or out of my car - only realised days later lol.

Left the city at about 8:20, taking the Cragieburn line, with the intention of getting to HIYC during maghrib... I ended up getting confused about which stop was the HIYC one. In the end I decided to get off at Coolaroo train station. Then it hit me that I was nowhere near HIYC so I hitched my bag and started walking.
Then I started to jog... I passed a hound under a tree as I was jogging. I looked back and saw the dog chasing me... I picked up the pace but it became pretty clear I had no hope of outrunning it so I turned towards it and started shooing it away. Except it kept running straight past me, ending up what I assume to be the house of it's owners, seemingly keep in guard against me... <_<
Anywho, it ended up being a 2.5km walk to HIYC... 'twas fun. Today was a very good day, alhamdulillah.

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mā'idah: 8)
