Lol sorry bro that's too funny. I've had my fair share of falls, it's sooo embarrssing, I once fell and tried to stop myself by holding onto chairs and I took down like 5 chairs with me. I was kind of running (trying to keep my balance) and falling and taking chairs down. My friends would not stop laughing, they didn't help me up bcos they were laughing too hard and everyone was looking at us in the weirdest way.

You guys remind me of the time I slipped and fell like 7 or 8 times on the sidewalk covered in ice in two of the worst frozen rain days of winter last year. I was on the phone with my friend, and then I slip and fall. I get up, I slip and fall again. Since at the time I was doing judo classes, I knew how to fall and never really got injured, but I was laughing so hard while on the phone falling that I couldn't stay up for long. A car passing by stopped to look at me, either they wanted to help in case anything happened, which is super nice of them no doubt, or they wanted to admire the guy laughing himself to tears as he falls down over and over.

When I finally finished, I carefully made my way up a slight incline to the front door of my place where my angry neighbor came out. I told her not to go down that way because she will certainly slip. She replied with nothing more than a four letter expletive, and we parted. I have not even the slightest doubt in my mind she must have slipped and fell at least twice that day going down that incline, it's impossible she didn't.

Lol what makes it funny is the fact we laugh so bad at ourselves. I couldn't get up myself bcos I was just laughing so hard. I felt so stupid

I didn't really feel stupid because it was so incredibly bad that there's no way that not every single person walking out in those two days did not slip and fall. It was two days where rain came down wet, but then froze when it reached the ground, causing every single thing, be it cars or sidewalks, to be covered in a rather thin layer of very wet ice, as if dry ice wasn't slippery enough. It was hard to get off the car too because when you have a sheet of ice on a window with water under it, the way the water holds it with pressure and surface tension makes it really hard to pick it up off the window, so you end up having to break it into pieces and slide it off.

    Good times.

I feel like I'm the 'crazy student' haha.
I never call my teachers by their first names but it seems everyone else does and if I ever write a email to them I always end it
Regards Cheri <inserts my last name>

Am I normal? I never been comfortable with calling people older then me by their first name unless they insist or were super duper friends.

im horrible with names too so i'm forever avoiding having to call out to them, i dread the day when they will ask me to recall their names ..ack!

and saying regards is fine. and these days very few people like being called by surnames especially from adults

The locking mechanism on my Ford's doors are always going - and its less than 10 years old. Currently the rear door is not opening! Not very fuel efficient either. Costs me about the same to run a Ford Territory as it did to run a Landcruiser - and the Landcruiser was bigger with more seating and a bullbar.
Singapore: oppresses Muslims, bans athaan, bans hijab in schools, prevents building of madrassahs or muslim schools, puts limit on the percentage of Muslims allowed in each apartment building, and bans Muslims from joining Singapore's elite military forces. Singapore; Israel's best buddy!

So yeah, dot and I were driving down to the southeast taking her father home after he had come back from the airport. As we were on the Monash Freeway, my car starts to beep and I see this red light on my dash... Knowing next to nothing about cars, I figured I'd ignore it although after a while, I realize that my engine heat metre is at the highest and there's a little smoke coming from the engine.

Naturally I start freaking out - my father-in-law guides me to the nearest petrol station (which was surrounded by temporary fencing...) and we take a look. Turns out the coolant hose had burst and the coolant was going all over the entrails of my car instead of being piped into the engine...

So yeah, khayr, we got in contact with RACV, got the pipe replaced (seems like a bit of a dodgy job, though) and were on our way.

So that the above story and my rant about Fords make more sense I should point out that NRaf drives a Ford...
    Edit: unfortunately

It was a clear, starry night as I traversed down a road unknown to me from times hence. Between my hands was an instrument of navigation - a wheel whose job is not to roll and wheel about - nay, it's purpose is to direct other wheels and through them, a hefty steed, heavy and proud. Some call the steed a Ford Fairmont but to me, it is known as Mykar although with time, I may relabel it as Myoldkar.

Two honored guests rode alongside me in this steed most noble - behind, perched upon the Elongated Sofa, sat Dot Zawjati and, to my left, her father who had recently arrived from a land far away on a steed more majestic and amazing even than my own.

Superb, mashaAllah, is how I describe his knowledge of the twisted coiling snakes known as roads, chased in futile frustration by many a mortal man. A new path I was to take today - the path long traversed by the treads of my steed was to be neglected.

Some say to a destination many a path may lead and, in this specific instance, I am obliged to agree, for there I was, once again, on a road called Bourke. FROM HERE I KNEW THE WAY!!!

AND ALONG I DROVE ON THE MONASH FREEWAY, THE WIND RUSHING IN THROUGH THE STUPID PASSENGER-SIDE WINDOW WHICH LOVES TO GO DOWN BUT ONLY ACCEDES TO RETURN TO IT'S CLOSED STATE WITH MUCH INSISTENCE AND NAGGING! NAY, BE OPEN MY PRETTY, I CARETH NOT. I SHAN'T BE PRIVY TO THE WHIMS OF A WINDOW ANY LONGER. BREAK AND BE CURSED FOR ALL I CARE!

And then, all of a sudden, the sound toned out AND THERE I SAW THE RED-EYED DEMON STARING OUT AT FROM THE DASH OF MY STEED! I KNEW NOT WHAT IT WAS BUT A SHIVER DOWN THE SPINE OF BACK WAS FELT BUT BY THE FOLLY LURKING DEEP WITHIN ME I IGNORED IT, BRUSHING IT OFF LIKE A SWEATY MAN BRUSHES OFF A FLY FROM HIS BROW!

And then I looked at my engine meter, it was hot, I called RACV, they fixed, father-in-law drove the rest of the way, getting some water from a betrol station on the way home and there my car is still parked, with the stupid window still half open.

And that's the last time I'll have three long blacks before noon...

It annoys me when people keep telling me to have sabr with my son.
If I didn't have sabr I would've locked him outside my front door already from bring a toy truck load of dirt into my house a deposited it on my floor and then eating the dirt and spitting wet dirt on the floor.
And then killing my plants by digging them up and throwing them off my balcony.

Oh I have sabr, so stop telling me to have sabr.

sabr ya ..oh ok then.... patience ya ukhti. just teasing.... alhamdulillah if my mother was to tell you how i and my brother were as children you would think were possessed by evil jinn ... she was a single parent of 5!!! less then ideal boys. its difficult raising boys. my wife and i struggle with our one boy as we are two, i cant imagine how much more harder it would be for a single mum. subhanallah hats off to all mums especially those of you having the added trial of being on your own. ya know what would be nice is to have the bedoin tribes of the days of the prophet saas were they would send their boys to be raised by them to learn Arabic etc. hmmm oh well. well you dont want the sabr advice but what would you like? you vent your frustration what would you like us to say?
