One mans freedom is not necessarily another's... A non Muslims freedom is different to a Muslims freedom just like a Catholics freedom is different to a non Catholics idea of freedom.
I personally don't see freedom as most Australians do... Is freedom having the mindset that a big house, high paid job, nice car & lots of money things that will make me happy? No not for me, freedom is to break away from this western mindset where we are brainwashed into thinking that money & worldy materials make us happy... The great Australian dream of owning a house is working 25-30 years to pay a house off? These thing cannot be taken to the other side..
But, good deeds can, being close to god, treating neighbors/freinds/parents/partners etc with dignity & respect, being part of a community that constantly gives for the sake of god, being called brother from a man that you have never met before, saying & having said to you اسكم اليكم (peace be upon you) from strangers, working hard to provide for my family without the help of interest which rules the non religious persons life, going to the mosque every Friday with a massive group of people with the same interests as you doing the same actions as you, spending time with my children & teaching them how to read Arabic & learning about religion, hearing my 7 year old daughter recite parts of the Quran...and I could go on for pages of things I am thankful for... Mashallah these are the things I'm thankful for, these are the things that make me feel free, these are the things all thanks to Allah عزوجل that give me freedom. Not this country, not this government..

Any national or cultural holiday that is of a non religious nature and in line with basic values according to the Islamic tradition is accepted.
This notion of only two Eids and no other celebrations are accepted is patently false.

What about Persian New Year (Nawrooz) and Mahrajaan? Can you explain then why Allah forbade them for Quraysh who used to celebrate them as non-religious holidays?

Yeah let's celebrate the day where the First Fleet arrived at Sydney Cove to occupy a land which did not belong to them. Let's celebrate the mass-killing of thousands of indigenous Australians and/or turning them into slaves, stripping them of their land, wealth, families, food, honor, dignity, and amongst so many other things, their basic human rights. Yeah, let's celebrate yet another occupation by the west on a foreign land.
You may have too much glitter in your eyes to see the truth, but there is nothing to celebrate when it comes to Australia day and any occupation of a foriegn land.
