It is a rare occurrence that I write this sort of message but I have just viewed Four Corners and felt compelled to contact you to express my deepest respect for what you have done for Samia Khan and for speaking out publicly on the issue. You should walk with a happy heart (I'm not sure what the view of 'pride' is within Islam or I would suggest walking with great pride) Please keep up your great work and keep that heart of yours kind!
Kindest regards
Marc Austin-Zande"

Singapore: oppresses Muslims, bans athaan, bans hijab in schools, prevents building of madrassahs or muslim schools, puts limit on the percentage of Muslims allowed in each apartment building, and bans Muslims from joining Singapore's elite military forces. Singapore; Israel's best buddy!

So..has anyone watched the program?
My personal opinion is that you should never force anyone to do something that they don't want to or else you expect a backlash. Being forced into an unwanted marriage isn't going to last long or if its does you'll be miserable for the rest of your life. I really wish those Muslim parents can implement Islam into their life rather than culture so you don't have any problems.
Which leads me thinking..is forced marriages valid Islamically? I know the obvious answer is no, but once they sign the papers and everything and the girl says "yes"( but it was under force) is the marriage still valid?Religion is all about moral character; therefore, whoever beats you in character beats you in religion."

It's a tricky area - you would need a shaykh to look at what constituted pressure. Each case will differ. Some people will give in to their families under pressure but it's not the pressure that would invalidate a marriage. But those probably wouldn't fall under 'forced' marriages.
Al-Hasan al-Basri said of hypocrisy: No one fears it but a believer, and no one feels safe from it but a hypocrite.

Was really impressed with Imam Afroz. And really refreshing for a change to see an Imam speak fluent english and not making excuses but actually calling a spade a spade.
If anyone wants to watch the show, it can be seen at http://www.abc.net.au/iview/#/view/920361

He is not an imam.refreshing for a change to see an Imam speak fluent english
To date he has always lied about his qualifications (just saying on a website "I graduated from xyz university" does not amount to displaying your qualifications) and has never made public where / from what teachers he studied from. When ever probed about his qualifications, him and his blind fanboys like Tay will just say "it is open to all to see" without once ever producing his certificate/ijaza, etc.
He cannot even recite the Quran properly, tajweed and recitation being important criteria for being an imam of a mosque.
These people are all liars and charlatans and Muslims should be warned against them.
Will afroz ali be willing to be publicly examined about his knowledge of Islamic topics, the same way Imam Bukhari or Imam Ibn Hajar accepted public challenges to prove their mastery of the sciences?
True teachers have never shied away from being publicly examined, not because they want to show off to people, or prove their worth to earn some form of a status or some letters like "MBA" after their name, but because in Islam we are taught by the Prophet and our elders to be very peculiar about accuracy and authenticity of reports in matters of deen and they are mandatory in a person if he is to be called a person of knowledge.
Is "imam" afroz willing to sit for a public examination to answer few moderate questions on Hanafi fiqh of salah and Hajj even? Is he willing to have his Quran recitation publicly examined by a Qari? If given an Arabic copy of the Bukhari, can he even recite ONE FULL random hadith, including the chains of narrations with the names of the narrators and the matn, without the aid of transliteration or diacritic marks? For those who don't know why, the same letters in Arabic can be used to spell two different words. Only those who know grammar and to an extent also the sciences of narration can know for example, if the Arabic letters A-B-Y without the diacritic marks are referring to "Abi" or "Ubay", two totally different words. No one can be ever called a scholar of Islam if he has not attained knowledge of Arabic as used in the texts.
It's very easy for any jahil to say "I have a chain going to Abdullah ibn MAs'ud radi Allahu 'anhu!"
Real men of mettle in Islamic learning have always been willing to be publicly taken to task. They do not hide faces and avoid questions as this cancer on the aussie Muslim community, afroz ali, has been doing.

"Hi and salam Mr. Imam Afroz, What a refreshing face and voice for Muslims! Your straightforward and very articulate words on forced marriages was a true breath of fresh air. I had given up on Muslims after hearing so many voices, some reasonable and some very troubling to say the least! But your comments were not only reasonable they sounded coming from genuine authority and I thank you for renewing my interest in Islam. You used so little words yet you said so much so clearly. I am using this general form to contact you and I hope I can get a personal reply from you so that I may be able to meet you in person soon. I was very interested in Islam, and you seem to have just taken me ot its roots. Please contact me. My best regards - Benjamin"

My guess is the RAND Corp.
A 2007 report by the Rand Corp., a U.S. think tank, advised Western governments to "harness" Sufism, saying its adherents were "natural allies of the West." Along similar lines, the Algerian government announced in July that it would promote the nation's Sufi heritage on radio and television in a bid to check the powerful influence of Salafism, a more extreme strain of Islam that is followed by al-Qaeda-backed militants waging a war against the country's autocratic state.

Alhamdulillah they are banning forced marriages... next they should also ban gay marriages once and for all... Islam already outlaws both types of "marriage".. this government is 1400 years behind
Sahih Muslim Book 41, Number 6954:Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would not come before a person of Qahtan comes forth driving people with his stick.

Sounds like a good thing, except surely forced marriages are already illegal in Australia. What are they really up to?
Muslims must be against forced marriages, but what is the real agenda of the kuffar in this situation?
What I imagine is the real intention behind this is to prevent Muslims under 18 from travelling overseas to get married, as well as smearing the Muslim community with charges of "forced marriage" based on extremely rare isolated cases.
People should be careful not to become the useful idiots supporting something which is against Islam such as marriage in general.
Forcing a woman to marry against her will is un-Islamic, and I would cautiously support steps to specifically prevent that from occurring.
However, watching Insight on SBS recently I heard a Australian woman saying how she had been married at the age of 14 in Lebanon, and that she was very happy with that.
Would the laws that the kuffar are plotting criminalise someone like that woman's father for arranging a consensual marriage ?
Besides becoming a useful idiot for the West's program against Islam, Muslims should avoid shirk by championing the making of halaal haraam, and vice versa.
In order to prevent harm to the Muslim community, and our womenfolk, I suggest that Muslims should speak out against forced marriage, being careful to isolate the forced aspect as opposed to arranged. We should arm ourselves with the knowledge of Islamic evidence opposing forced marriage and quote it. If any Muslim is aware any Muslim contemplating a forced marriage then they should warn this person that this is an un-Islamic practice.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet
said: “No previously-married woman should be married off without being consulted, and no virgin should be married off without asking her permission.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is her permission?” He said: “If she remains silent.”
[Bukhari & Muslim]
It was narrated from Khansa' bint Khidam Al-Ansariyyah that her father gave her in marriage when she was a matron and she disliked that marriage. So she came (and complained) to the Prophet
and he anulled that marriage.
[Bukhari]
And it was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that a virgin girl came to the Prophet
and told him that her father had married her off against her objections. The Prophet
gave her the choice (of whether to annul the marriage).
[Abu Dawood - graded as "saheeh" by al-Albaani]
'Aa’ishah reported that a girl came to her and said, “My father married me to his brother’s son in order to raise his social standing, and I did not want this marriage [I was forced into it].” ‘Aa’ishah said, “Sit here until the Prophet
comes. The Apostle of Allah
came and she told him about the girl. The Prophet
sent for her father, then he gave the girl the choice of what to do. She said, “O Apostle of Allah, I have accepted what my father did, but I wanted to prove something to other women.”

Yeah but we don't really know who is writing this feedback. I recall listening to a program on the ABC a while back which was saying how there is a big problem with companies and business establishing lots of usernames to promote their products on internet forums. If anyone thinks that the CIA, Mossad, ASIO etc, are no actively doing the same, then they are fooling themselves.
Strategic Manipulation of Internet Opinion Forums:
There is growing evidence that consumers are influenced by Internet-based opinion forums before making a variety of purchase decisions. Firms whose products are being discussed in such forums are therefore tempted to manipulate consumer perceptions by posting costly anonymous messages that praise their products.

Zionists Manipulate Public Forums on the Internet
The Israeli government's Foreign Ministry is involved in efforts to influence public opinion on the Internet. Israel's Foreign Ministry orders Internet propagandists, so called "trainee diplomats," to skew online polls and public forums to conform with the Israeli line. This is an organized effort, using "special 'megaphone' software," to alert "hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists" so they can manipulate Internet websites and chatrooms to conform with the slant that already permeates mainstream media.
