assalamu alaikum
anyone know an electrician (preferably one that isn't going to charge me $100 just to come look at my light). my bedroom light blew (its a light under a fan) and I changed the bulb but it won't turn on.
or if anyone knows why this is happening I would apprciate any ideas.

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allâh as just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mā'idah: 8)

Yes tried a few new lightbulbs and also the lightbulb next door which works fine in the other room (has the same ceiling fan / light combo). But no go here. Very werid.

I'd advise against doing it yourself, unless you are an electrician or electrical engineer.

And if you're Lebanese and an electrician, then definitely don't change it...
