    Assalamu Alaikum,
My question is put out there to the sisters in the Brisbane and Sydney area. I am an avid health and fitness woman for many years now. I am currently doing my training to become a qualified Personal trainer and Nutritionist and my main focus is to work with like wise women. I currently live in Brisbane and I was looking for a Personal trainer for myself and I could not find someone that was comfortable enough to work with me because I am a Hijabi. This was when my own passion for health fitness came into play to study and be available to ALL women but more so for Muslim sisters who may be looking for some advise on Nutrition, recipes, guidance and also Personal training.
My husband and I are looking at moving to Sydney because he has family living there and the support for us is better for many reasons.
I would Like to hear back from sisters if they feel that what I am doing would be of interest to them. I am on my last modules of training and I currently attend the local Fernwood gym here in Brisbane where I have been doing work experience in training some ladies. I am hoping that what I am doing will be something that I can use to help other women achieve their personal goals whatever they may be.

    salaams,

    Lizzy

    Salaam alaikum sis,

Mashaa'Allah what a great initiative and may Allah SWT make your plight to introduce and encourage health and fitness to the Muslim sisters easy on you.
Unfortunately most sisters on the forum are from Melbourne so it's physically impossible to support your goals but inshaa'Allah any advice and tips online are welcomed. We have a revert sister here in Melbourne (Joanne) who does something similar and Mashaa'Allah she has been quite successful so there is definately a need for your skills and expertise in the community.
Anyway all the best with your endeavors and with your relocation to Sydney inshaa'Allah.

    Asalamu Aleikum!
I'm from Sydney. It's a great idea, and it would be even greater if we can do it with our children. Don't you think so?

    Waalaikumsalam warahmatullah,
Yes, I am also going to look at getting Mums and bubs together and doing boot camps for mothers and walks with children in strollers and one on one personal training sessions in the home or outdoors. As for the children even doing a circuit training program that parents can also do would also be of great benefit of bringing both exercise and family together, Insh'allah I have a few ideas that I would like to work with and when I move to sydney I will be looking for friendship as I will be new to the city.
