Buy extra-large zip ties and carve their names on them with a needle.
That's my pathetic attempt at cracking a joke.
Lame.

^ hmm good idea sis. I'll try that if I can't find anyone who makes them. Ideally I would like to support a sister (if any) who make creative gifts.. I'm sure I've come across a few but can't for the life of me remember where!
At-Taif....what has the wild done to you???

Wa alaikum salaams,
I can see on this site that they charge $29.95 for children's name bracelets and they also do them in Arabic script. Stirling silver. Maybe you can contact them and ask if they can give you a special price if your ordering more than one bracelet.

Assalamu Alaykum Sister Islam_Junkie ,
I stumbled across the personalised bracelets you were after at the Queen Victoria Market today. They look cute as you want them, cost $15 engraving included, and you could probably get a discount if you purchase many.

^ fantastic! Jazakullah khair bro.
I go to the Vic market a fair bit but Subhan Allah it didn't occur to me to try there. I suppose unless you're looking for something specifically you don't really pay attention. Much appreciated, thank you.

Haggling is to be expected at the market, but you need to know your limits. Me and my friend wanted to buy an item each at $15 so I asked if there are any discount if we buy two and she said $25. To me that was reasonable and I accepted it without bargaining further. At the end of the day, they need to make enough money to put bread on the table.
The parents; they're a different story all together! Forget the market, they do it almost everywhere!
Then there are people who take advantage of the vulnerable which is shameful to say the least. If anything, they should be paying the seller full price and even extra to help the person out!O you who believe! Yeah true, especially when travelling overseas. For example, at the markets in Malaysia it's obvious that you're getting ripped off, but I'm happy to pay it. Usually the person selling the stuff is doing it tough. Alhumdullilah for all the blessings we have.

SubhanAllah... I just remembered the story of Imam Abu Hanifah (rahmatullahi 'alayh) where one day a woman came to him with a length of silk which she wanted him to sell for her and demanded a hundred dirhams for it. When the Imam expressed surprise at that figure, she raised it to two hundred, but he told her that it was at least worth five hundred". "Are you making fun of me?" said the woman. The Imam took out five hundred dirhams, gave it to her, and kept the cloth. This kind of scrupulous honesty, far from harming his business, made it flourish.
Allahu Akbar. What a wonderful example of the piety every Muslim should have in all corners of life. May we all be like the great Imam in our dealings, ameen.

Ameen, Subhan Allah I was thinking of the same story. I heard it a few times but couldn't recollect which sahabah it was nor find any corresponding narration. Jazakullah khair, great reminder.

Assalaam alaikum,
Been meaning to update this thread for sometime but haven't had a chance Subhan Allah...anyway, a sister from the forum (may Allah SWT reward her) directed me to a sister who makes the jewellery I was after; below are some images.
Needless to say she did a fantastic job mashaaAllah! Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a beautiful gift (especially with eid around the corner!)
She also made them in a short time frame and was very reasonably priced.
She has a facebook page under 'Unbeadable jewelry' if anyone is interested inshaaAllah.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I ended up getting a necklace and bracelet set for less than a bracelet alone would have cost me at a store....
The recipients were very happy with their gift
