Do sick people miss out on the good deeds that healthy people are doing?

This is a boost for those whose sickness prevents them from fasting or praying Taraweeh and they are upset:

'Uqbah Bin 'Aamir reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: " Each days deeds are sealed with it. thus, when a believer gets sick, the angels say, " Our lord! Your servant such and such, You have restrained him (from doing good this day)." And the lord replies, " Seal his day in accordance with his (usual) deeds, until he is cured or dies". [Ahmad]

So the answer is, you get rewarded according to what you used to do when you were healthy! My sheikh's advice was to do good deeds as much as you can when you are young so that when you get old and sickly you will still get the rewards for the past good deeds.

ليس من عمل يوم إلا وهو يختم عليه فإذا مرض المؤمن قالت الملائكة يا ربنا عبدك فلان قد حبسته فيقول الرب اختموا له على مثل عمله حتى يبرأ أو يموت
