    Assalamu Alaykum,

I want to take my family out for dinner this weekend but don't know of many restaurants and don't have time to sift through past threads.

A restaurant with quality service (no stuffing around) and food, preferably one that does not serve alcohol, and somewhere "classy" is what I'm after. Prices don't matter.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated, jazakumullahu khayran in advance.

Lol none that fit the description, usually food is good, service bad or vice-versa and majority serve alcohol. None are classy.

I understand; I might just buy pizza from HIYC tonight as they've never tried it before, and take them out some other time.

Melba at the Langham buffet? But they require bookings usually in advance. And I don't know about alcohol but they would have pork dishes around too. I know their meat is halal.

What about Pappa Rich in Doncaster? Alcohol though. Dunno about pork but they have halal meat too. You also need to like Asian food.

Thank you all, given the time constraints, I've decided to buy pizza and charcoal chicken but will look into those restaurants for next time.

I just called HIYC to make an order for iftar time and they said they don't start serving pizza until 9:00pm!?

By the way, I was so dumbfounded that I called back to confirm what I had just heard.

I'm disappointed because I also invited my cousins over, and one of them is very fussy with the pizza he eats, although I personally like Fordgate pizza.

I ordered a variety of pide from Roxy Kebab and I will also buy some charcoal chicken. My mum will be making mercimek corbasi and some dips so it should be good, insha'Allah.

Langham (malba) is definitely classy and trust me you will really enjoy it. The food is halal too but there is alcohol unfortunately. It's pretty pricey though but our parents deserve the best, if you can Afford to spoil them for one day by taking them out than you should do it ASAP inshallah.

The conservatory is pretty good too, classy etc but out of all the buffet/seafood/classy restaurants I've been too, Langham wins hands down. It's seafood galore and it's unlimited unlike other buffet restaurants that have a 200g weight limit on cooked prawns etc...Not that many ppl can eat more than that anyway lol
If you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. His reply to you is gauranteed; but in the way He chooses, not the way you choose, and at the moment He desires, not the moment you desire.

Everybody enjoyed their iftar today so it turned out well, alhamdulillah.

I had a look at Langham's website and it looks really good, masha'Allah. I don't think my parents have ever been to a restaurant so stylish, neither have I, so I will take them out some time soon, insha'Allah.

They've been so supportive and sacrificed a lot for me; I can never repay their rights, but small gestures like these mean a lot to them.

    I appreciate the recommendations.

"We have Halal poultry as an option. Our poultry is from the halal company called Poultry Palace."
Did they say, all meat was Halal?
