I downloaded that yesterday. I miss Madinah and tarawih there. It woudl be amazing to pray behind him reciting though. I miss praying behind Sh. Maher the most though. That was just beautiful masha'Allah. Now he is doing tarawih in Makkah.
I don't think any shaykh has ever led before Sh. Hudaifi in doing the 1st 10 before so that's pretty cool too for him.Al-Hasan al-Basri said of hypocrisy: No one fears it but a believer, and no one feels safe from it but a hypocrite.

Sheikh Idris Abkar, may Allah preserve his voice. How canst thou say to thy brother,Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

*Sh. Muhammad Jibreel, Masjid Amr Ibn Al Aas, 500,000 praying taraweeh
Subhanallah, you know what I find to be absolutely amazing?
Allah created every one of us in such a different way, even our preferences in the Quran recitation varies. Some like the more melodious recitations, others the more nasal coming from the Gulf areas, whilst others are moved by the more spiritual tones. There are Imams with smooth voices, some with deeper, some with husky voices whilst there are even a few with softer type voices.
We should thank Allah (swt) he has blessed us and from his infinite mercy, given us Imams who have all of these vocal ranges and recitation styles that endear our hearts.
It may seem a simple thing, but it's a gift we take for granted that Allah has not only given us these Imams, but the ni3ma of hearing to enjoy them.

***Mishaari is the best, chuck out the rest(except for Ghamidi-Angel voice)***
Maybe I just say that because he's my Relative.
Let me say that again:
***Ghamidi and mishaari are the best chuck out the rest***

Allah [aza wajal] says in Surah A'raf, ayah 204: "So when the Quran is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy"

...the Muslim raised his sword up and swung it down hard on the kafir, so forcefully that the blade went down his hip and split him in half. When the Muslim unveiled his face, he looked at me and said, "What do you think of that, Ka'b? I am Abu Dujana."

Assalaamu Alaykum,
See these links - let me know what you think.

I know rapidshare's a pain, sorry.
I recorded these off a casette tape using a simple tape player with a cheap headphone-quality male-male 3.5mm cable, so the quality isn't the best. Casette wasn't mint, either.
I haven't seen these on the Internet anywhere...
Wassalaam,
shaakirThis is a sig?
