Free Download - Lane Arabic English Lexicon

If you aren't familiar with what this Lexicon is:

Prof. A.J. Arberry (who translated 'Al Quran') wrote: "It (Lane's Lexicon) is a work of such fundamental importance and of such matchless excellence that praise for it is quite superfluous. Every Arabist since Lane has had good cause to bless him for his superhuman labours ... It is certainly true to say that every work produces in this century relating in any way to Arabic studies has drawn heavily on the Lexicon."
Dr G. P. Badger wrote: "This marvellous work in its fullness and richness, its deep research, correctness and simplicity of arrangement far transcends the Lexicon of any language ever presented to the world."

So yeh, most people wouldn't be able to justify the ~$300 price tag of buying the book version, but thanks to the volunteers of this project the complete 8 volumes will insha2allah be available on the net.

I don't yet have the hardcopy of the Medinah books, so i can't confirm this, but I've been told that this website is the companion website for these books.

There are beginners' lessons right up to what, at least to me, are advanced lessons.

From what I have seen of this website you don't need the books in hardcopy to get benefit from it. Nearly every word is clickable with audio pronounciation.

And by the way, this website only worked for me when using Internet Explorer.
