There is THIS blog which has a translated explanation of Al Ajuroomiyah. MashaAllah it's very informative!
I realise your comment was posted in 2006, but nevertheless it could be of benefit to you and others InshaAllah. When my heart became constricted and my paths became narrow - I took my hope in Your pardon and forgiveness as an opening and an escape - My sins seemed very great to me but when I compared them to Your forgiveness My Lord, I found Your forgiveness to be greater. - Imam al-Shafi'e (Rahimahullah)

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
A dear brother (May Allah reward him) forwarded me this link the other day via email. I've only had a brief look at the website but what I can gather is the site is for those at the beginner's level of Quranic reading. InshaAllah it is of benefit.

There aren't any free online courses to learn Arabic is there? Like with homework so there is pressure on us to do it rather than free websites where we learn on our own?

Lisan ul Quran (3 Volume Set) in English and comes with answer keys for each volume. The best Arabic learning series I've come across thus far and I love that it uses examples from the Quran. The answer keys for each volume mean you can teach yourself without difficulty. It is based on the series anahw al wadih 'which broke new ground in the teaching of Arabic grammar.'
