“Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.
And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.”

Default YPA Real Estate - 11-Oct-2009, 01:46 AM

Has anyone had any experiences with them? They appear to be owned by Muslims but I've had a lot of bad things about some of the real estate agents at their Meadow Heights office.

I dont think that all the people who work there are muslims. I have seen one of the agents praying at King Street Mosque.

I don't know much about them but they do have a range of people - Muslims and non-Muslims. They do seem to sell most of the homes in Meadow Heights though so you see the agents pretty regularly.

Yes I have had experiences with them and it was not good AT ALL.
It was all lovey dovey when they knew I had an empty property, and as soon as they got a tenant in I became an irrelevant human being.

I honestly think that if I posted the details here I would cause nobody to ever ever ever attend the Thomastown office for any reason, so for that reason i won't.

If you really want to know how they treated me, please PM me

and btw the only reason i signed with them was because i assumed they were muslim owned.
I know definitely run and managed by Muslims but in my contract at the bottom it said "Whittlesea Realty, trading as YPA".
Whittlesea realty is another real estate agent around my area, not that popular.

YPA are bad news. Don't have anything to do with them unless you want headaches and problems in your life. I don't know about renting from them (I can't imagine that it would be good) but if you are thinking about buying a house that they are involved in, think again and go through a quality real estate agent that has a name and brand to protect.

Each person will have their own experience with any business, many brothers and sisters work in YPA and it is not fair to turn business away based on personal experiences which are not necessarily indicitive of the professionalism of the company. Point I'm trying to make is one may have a bad experience another individual a fantastic experience! Try it out for yourself if need be and also if you are not happy please direct your criticism directly to the company so as to allow them to improve, particularly if this is a Muslim managed/owned business.

My experiences started at the thomastown office, lead me to Meadow heights, taylors Lakes and then 'Head Office', or so they call it.

It's not the individuals that i blame but the 'company' that allows people with no experience and no clue to work under their name, and then toss people around.

They actually asked me on several occasions what the next step was in proceeding with getting a tenant in, and then the same thing when we had to get him out.

If people have had wonderful, inspiring and uplifting experiences dealing with YPA then they are free to write about it. Those of us who have been treated badly or tricked by their real estate agents can write about it. People can decide for themselves whether this is a company they want to do business with.

It's true that some of them are Muslims and there are some good ones, like the Turkish sister someone mentioned in this thread, but unfortunately they are let down by the fact that they have some truly horrible people working for them.

Also keep wide away from Melbourne Estate Agents! The agent looking after is now is ok but I had so much problems with them even before we moved in

Yaa Allaah.. Let every calamity that strikes us, every trial that we face, every hardship that shakes us, give us patience for your sake..

Every tear that we cry, every word that we say, every breath that we take, every prayer that we pray..

Let it bring us closer to you, and forgive us our sins. And strengthen our hearts, on your perfect deen.

Aameen, yaa Rabb al-'Arsh al-Atheem

We've been with Ray Mascaro for 4 years now, they are in reservoir and deal with reservoir and surrounding and some in Lalor and Thomastown. They have been pretty good to us Alhumdulilah, never had any problems at all, so if anyone is looking to move to Thomastown/Lalor etc try them. We started off with a muslim agent rep but he left and so far we have had 3 different reps - its the nature of the business. They leave us alone, we leave them alone unless we need something repairing. We pay our rent on time and if we can't we let them know, we pass our yearly inspections and everyone is happy.

Real Estate agents in general are marginally better than used car salesmen. It might pay to set your expectations low.
