This event, like the one held last year, is aimed at the non-Muslim community. Tickets are being sold at the nominal cost of $2 per head to have control of the seating arrangement. This is because the Preston town Hall is smaller in capacity compared to the Copland Theater of Melbourne University.

As I pointed out before, we are aiming to get as many non-Muslims in as possible. There will be no charge on the night for non-Muslims. However we need you, dear brother and sister, to invite your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and anyone else you can think of to this event. This event may be a significant factor in someone becoming a Muslim, and insha’Allaah all of you will have a share of this great deed on the day of Judgement.

Flyers are available at IISCA and other locations, to be spread to the general community. Insha’Allaah the least we can do is let our neighbors have the chance to hear the message of Islaam. Fill up those letter boxes, invite local school staff and students, put up posters at your local library, insha’Allaah you will find this act heavy on the scale of deeds.

As the non-Muslims may not be used to segregation - what will happen to them? Meaning some of them may come as husband and wife etc and wish to sit together.
Btw - was there any reason Copland wasn't used?

As for your second qn: Copland theater has been booked out for uni purposes until the end of july. it has always been our first choice. Other theaters in other unis will also be used exam purposes etc. This place was the best we could find both in terms of capacity and cost, alHamdulillaah. From an organizers point of view, it is always nice to stick with the same venue because the staff, as well as the patrons, are used to the facility. In the case of a new venue, the organizers have to adapt to the new venue and its surroundings, and many old issues have to be tacked again, as well as new ones. May Allaah make it easy for us, aameen. The venue is not the biggest, but it will be sufficient insha'Allaah.

As for your second question: The venue has been divided into 3 sections. A main hall (Hall A), a balcony section, and a separate hall which will be linked via audio and video only (Hall B). Hall A is where the non Mulsims will be directed. It will have free seating, one reason being that we dont want to intimidate the non-Muslims by asking them to sit separately from Muslims. Also it is very impractical to divide muslims and non-Muslims in a function specifically for the non-Muslims. The balcony section is only for sisters, muslim or not. Its tickets are sold separately. Hall B is a back up hall which will be used for people who turn up at the door demanding a seat after the lecture is sold out insha'Allaah

balcony : purple (on sale), sisters only section, preferred seating area for muslim sisters
Hall B: sold (reserved for the night), seating arrangement to be decided

Just a few questions regarding the prebooking and paying of seats for the night.

1. If I want to prebook a seat for each of my family members or friends do they each have to fill out a registration form or can it be done with the one form. The reason is that I am organising a group of friends and family who would like to attend and so I was wondering how I could pay and get a ticket for all of them without each one having to pay individually.
2. If seats are prebooked via the registration form do I have to pay and pick up the tickets from ISCA or can I have them arranged to be picked up and paid for from the venue on the night itself. Tuesday night may be the only night I can go to ISCA to pay and I was wondering whether it was too late. If I decide to pay through the ISCA account how would I be able to specify it is for more than one person.
3. Can tickets be bought at the door if there are any people who want to attend last minute or will all most likely be pre-booked.
4. Do I have to prebook for non-muslims or is seating automatic for them on the day.

Sorry for all the questions. I just have a few family members and friends as well as a few non-muslims who I feel is important that they attend considering the nature of the talk and so I was wondering which is the best way I can pay for all of them without each person having to pay individually.
